I guess he committed the cardinal sin of criticizing Dick's handling of the show.

I'm sure there's plenty of friction between these two behind the scenes, this is just one of the few times it bleeds out in public because they're mutually committed to the bit of being irreverent and above it all. I'm going to assume Dick calling out Vito is intended to be read as (forced, thinly veiled reminder of his place) sarcastic throwaway.

If it's gayfabe, it somehow makes Vito look even worse - if that was even possible - because he knows his existence is to just be mocked endlessly but he goes along with it because without Dax and Biggest Problem he has nothing but his shitty comic, his mediocre YouTube channel with one or two viral videos and no way of supporting himself in one of the most expensive cities in the US.

There is some dishonesty here. I do not think everything about this is fake but there is fuckery going on. Like Dax Juju and Vito are playing up the drama to distract us from something. They are saying that the superchats were fat jokes but they might be something more childish (if you catch my drift). No way they would raise hell over fat jokes.

Vito realizes and he despises Dick as well. But Vito is also fat, lazy and has no self-respect. He has to get money for his toys from somewhere. If he doesn't let Dick shit on him for 6k/month he'll actually have to finish his comic book and find other sources of revenue, I sincerely doubt that he has the work ethic to try to revive his dead youtube channel.
