Posted this in "Random Trans Thoughts" thread and wanted to post here as well. TIM refuses to take his therapist's advice in that gender is purely internal and that he shouldn't care about how others see him. He goes on to say that he needs others to see him as a woman for him to survive long-term. This has been stated many times before but transgenderism is literally the only mental health condition where people need to believe the fantasy otherwise said person threatens suicide. No other mental health condition has someone threatening suicide if their thoughts or feelings aren't validated.

Of course he goes on to argue with his therapist that she is wrong for not validating his feelings.

The only argument I've seen that starts to make sense about safety is jail placement if arrested. Of course, that's safety for the troon--I'm sure their female cellmates would differ.

In reality makes sense to have an accurate M/F on your ID if you're coming before an official in charge of sorting people by sex, whether it's the cops or a clerk at the gym. Gym attendant doesn't want to make genital inspections, and remember, nobody can tell gender status from inherent or modifiable physical characteristics, nor behavior. Suddenly they're in charge of debate, enforcing social standards and potential honfighting, every day forever.

Better to just be able to say "sorry, State says you're a boy here, we have the disabled locker room as an option."

Letting transpeople change this on feels alone is like letting people edit the age on their driver's license and then expecting the barely-trained clerk at the grocery store to do forensic analysis or ask history trivia on the fly, and whatever they do is going to be wrong.

I think there are enough federal troon prisoners that there should be at least one federal troon prison.
Not sure about state prisons and jails, I think the population is a bit too small for that in some states, but for example California could go for it.

Lime Soda Films has produced a feature-film length documentary on the experiences of the wives and children of TIMs (even going so far as to use the term 'trans-identified men') and i hadn't seen it posted here, so i thought i'd share it here as well. somebody might be interested who hadn't seen it yet.

Other users on here have probably made the comparison before, but I think drawing parallels between AGP and Narcissus is neat. They're both obsessed with something to the point where it's detrimental to their health.

This is a very generous portrayal of transwomen, considering that these biotroons haven't even fully nailed the appearance of an average MTF. It’s fair to say that quotes by the Taliban about women tend to be framed as kindness. This is because in the real world, the bad guys don’t act like cartoon characters. However, what the Taliban actually do to women is evil. Whatever else Walsh and Rowling might have said, they have never called for troons to be banned from education and employment or stoned to death.

For a while California kept troons at either the prison for the mentally ill or in special prisons or yards for at risk prisoners like snitches and famous prisoners. But of course that wasn't validating enough for the troons, who needed to be put in with women they can rape.
