I went to high school ( I know, random spergs you went to high school with aren't proper lolcows.... ) with this chick and everything she is the living embodiment of tumblr. Everything she says is just unreal. Also idk where she gets off thinking she's poor, she lives in a beautiful upper west side Manhattan apartment that her parents pay for, and she doesn't work because of her "disability"
( ADHD - though she can't get actual benefit's since she's never been formally diagnosed ) and her mother and father give her a weekly allowance. She's 24.

She's also the only person I've ever met IRL who is insists on funky pronouns despite being a (self admitted) cis-gendered. And she's - sorry zhey are- incredibly serious about it.

She's also trans deaf. She is perfectly capable of hearing but wears hearing aids because she "feels" deaf.

That is infuriating because a bare bones, basic hearing aid is $1500 per ear. Insurance rarely covers them. There are so, so many people who need them and can't afford them.

yesterday, while waiting for our play to start, i got schooled on the terms demi, pan and...i can't remember the last term. it was from a guy that's overall pretty cool, but his explanations...completely contradicted what i had heard numerous times before. Demisexual means you're attracted to the person's mind? Pan means their personality? I thought demi meant kinda the same thing as demiboy/girl, and pan meant attracted to all genders???? tumblrisms are confusing man.

EDIT: BAMBI-LACE. that was the term. another girl chimed in with it. bambi = basically you'd rather cuddle, lace = lesbian ace. Like lace is kinda a cool term but do you need the bambi part??

They're using 'lesbian' in regards to the split-attraction model. Meaning they don't wanna have sex but they still want to date girls. Because boys are obviously so icky, of course.

So, technically they can, it just sounds incredibly stupid the way they say it.

they are specifically a "sex neutral ace" so apparently they'd be dtf if the other person wanted

like i get the whole ace thing, whatever, but why can't you can't just say "i'm homoromantic" and leave it at that? someone asks wtf that is, say "i don't feel sexual attraction, basically". coming up with a long string of terms that wholly define what you are/n't attracted to doesn't help anyone since no one else has any idea what you're talking about, and now you have to sit there and explain what each thing means. and i get the feeling most people would get annoyed/not want to take the time/wouldn't KNOW how to explain their speshul terms in plain english. i can only imagine how the convo would have gone if i hadn't been inoculated from tumblr.

Some parts of tumblr is starting to figure that out. On a more on-topic note, I was playing Minecraft online when this kid comes into the chat claiming to be "bonnie from fnaf" and that they were also "the ghost kid inside of bonnie". I asked them if they were some sort of otherkin or what, and all they had to say was "i'm not bonnie irl" before beginning to type "waaaaah" into the chat repeatedly to mimic a dead, crying kid. I wish I could have gotten a screencap of it, but I left the server shortly after because I ain't about that shit.
