The pardoning thing is sort of stupid to me. What father can't understand the love a dad has for his son, and wouldn't sort of just shrug at this. No reason to not pardon him really, fuck the optics, that's your son.

They don't seem to be receiving attack orders on this; it comes off as a frantic attempt to stop the inevitable - I say all this as a typically cynical person.

2020 showed us election fraud has no consequences for anyone. So yes it will happen again but you are seeing that the GOP is more on the ball with ballot harvesting than they were before.

Meaning that it will be attempted but without COVID and whatnot there's a lot less steam behind it this time so they can't be certain that they can pull it off. As Kamala is hated by everyone and seemingly incapable of presenting herself well in public. Rigging an election has to be somewhat believable. The Powers that Be will absolutely try to get Kamala into office. They just seem to be aware that there is less motivation and money around to make it happen. So they know that they have to expend two of their own just to keep power in Congress.

Anyone who thinks The Handmaid's Tale is plausible is retarded. It was an allegory for the Iranian Revolution. Since it's mentioned the original story isn't changing, this could just be revealing that a candy coated psychological horror is staying a psychological horror. It wasn't made with kids in mind, but if parents are going to let them watch, they will probably see some creepy things. (And not necessarily sexual. Challenging ones place in the world and value of life can be pretty heavy.)

Like renting your children Watership Down in the 90s because it has cute bunnies on the cover, not necessarily Fritz the cat. They might not have been ready for that film and it could cause nightmares.

Kids were allowed to watch the pilot of a web series because it's fairly inoffensive at this time and well made, but without knowing where it's going you can't be certain it will have a message your kids are ready for. I guess a responsible parent would pre-watch it before giving the go ahead for children to see it.

I watched Watership Down when I was about 8. People need to stop being pussies. Children could handle all kinds of movies and TV shows back then. So many people complained when Gremlins was released as a 15 instead of a PG in the UK. Children wanted to watch it but couldn't as movie age ratings are law here, not just a guideline. Although they've done some stupid things recently like raising Jaws from a PG to a 12A (when it's re-released in cinemas) and the DVD/Blu-Ray of it to a 15. I watched that when I was about 5 and loved t!

Keep the kids infantilized until(and into) adulthood so they can play the part of parent sure is a terrifying path we're on. How many young adults don't know how to care for themselves and can't be bothered to look into how to say cook, and instead cry to mommy for help.
