My mum recently confronted me with her suspicion that I was trans. She was supportive, brought me a piece of jewellery and generally the contact I’ve had with both parents since then has been positive.

The tricky thing is, now I find myself unable to face them. I’ve still not seen my dad in person since I was aware he knew, and I keep avoiding calls from my mum. I’m a little older and I’ve had so many years of just knowing in my core that what I am is wrong and shameful, and fearing my parents would disown me if they knew. Why can’t I accept their acceptance?

During my cringe days there was always more attention on the Kuroko show. It's usually pretty obvious when a show appeals to fujos naturally lmao though they seem to pick up on anything with a large male cast that is decently popular. Kuroko got put on a lot of streaming sites available to westerners and I think Slam Dunk is recently getting a remake? I don't really follow stuff like that anymore so I'm not sure. If there isn't a big shipping fanbase before there is about to be if it's put on Netflix but it wasn't really promoted before.

Why do they get to pick their own designation and my designation? I am not a "cisgender man", that term didn't exist 20 years ago. I am a biological man and I don't think that term is very "othering" or rude to people that aren't biologically men (or people that are biologically men but wish to escape it), but if they want to keep this up, we should just have a widespread campaign for the use of "normal" since normal is the antonym of "queer".
