The thing missing from many forms of a witness tampering charges in Minnesota is Nick offering a quid pro quo to Aaron. That Aaron's situation would get better if he changed his behavior related to being a witness or potential witness.

The one form of witness tampering where Nick could face problems is:

"intentionally causes injury or threatens to cause injury to any person or property in retaliation against a person who has provided information to law enforcement authorities concerning a crime within a year of that person providing the information or within a year of the actor's release from incarceration, whichever is later."

Based on what we currently know about Nick's behavior, retaliation for providing information would be something vaguely possible for him to be charged with. It would be easier to prove retaliation in these circumstances than proving NIck did things intended to directly affect testimony.

I didn't personally hear it, but people have talked about Nick discussing physical violence against Aaron to protect himself. If he actually did that in the way being discussed, it was an incredibly stupid thing to have done on his part. Because even if Nick tries to be cute and pretend its about defending himself, it can be taken as a threat of violence.

I kind of doubt a charge would happen in these circumstances. But then again I also doubted that revenge porn charges would be brought against Aaron. The legal danger for Nick is likely all around threatening actual harm in some form. Its been suggested that he has already done that through his self defense stuff.

Unfortunately while this is functionally WT via lawfare I believe this it technically above board as Aaron courted these charges with his shenanigans; I don't see recourse for Aaron unless he can use Nick contacting his GF as harassment or Kandiyohi County can ask Stearns County for some favors. I doubt the latter will happen.

Here's the Qover's strategy with Aaron:
-Lawfare against him will detract from his credibility as a witness. Now, users here may think the state won't call Aaron as it's unnecessary but Nick may disagree with that and think lawfare for that purpose is fruitful.
-Alternatively Aaron's grand cuck tour may have earned him the ire of the Qover and the latter is just in spiteful revenge mode, with the ultimate goal of life-ruination or a good college try at achieving that. Unfortunately for Aaron they have the resources and he has the history where something may actually come from lawfare.
-The Qover will layer legal cases against Aaron: first the RP, and after he pleads to that then the DV charges from April will come about; we're still within the statue of limitations for DV in Minnesota. The DV case will likely cite evidence in his HRO, his violations of HRO, and his RP case to further the Qover's cause.
-Even if the DV case is dismissed it will still cost Aaron money for legal representation and time in court that will take away from his time from his begging and after everything his reputation will likely preclude him from ever getting a job more than $15/hour service industry.


TLDR While clearly intended to fuck with Aaron so long as Aaron committed the offense there's not much he can do. Life Ruination or close to it would appear to be Nick's goal in addition to somehow benefitting his own criminal case.

I mean, there's a lot of nuance to this issue, and there's no telling what a judge or jury will find, but what I will say is that all of these people directly interacting with Nick and then immediately going all in on Aaron absolutely meets probable cause to get a wiretap and phone dump warrant, which would be interesting.
