Not only do they trend chase an overly saturated genre but they don't even bring anything new to the table. Deadlock brings in MOBA elements and has the perk of being a valve game, which will immediately draw attention, this had literally nothing going for it.

The genre leader is free to play. Deadlock is gonna be free to play. You expected people to PAY for this? Pure idiocy. If they even wanted to stand a chance, this needed to be f2p.

Sony is at its best when they are beat down, because when successful they just release dumb shit and expect it to sell because they're Sony. I hope this knocks them down a peg.

Creative types will be judged on the quality of work in their personal portfolio more so than the outcome of the project, coders will probably be fine. Lots of failed projects that never see the light of day in those industries.

Management on the other hand, rip lol. Though well deserved.

While it's hilarious that this happened, I doubt it will change anything for several reasons.
1. The people that made this abomination are still there, and due to the forever poor commie mindset will for for peanuts as long as they get to make their "games"
2. The monetary and social incentives to produce this trash remain largely present. Blackrock has been ramping up acquisitions in the gaming industry, and their ESG scoring is still the standard that C-suite executives aim to meet, as guaranteed money is worth more than potential sales.
3. Woke media and games can be financially successful. With as many blatant failures as we see time after time, there are still plenty of examples of successful "woke" games. Apex Legends, Overwatch, Hollow knight, Celeste, are all games where "diversity and inclusivity" is a main message. Companies know this, and are willing bet on the potential that one of these dumpster fires they greenlight hits the same chord as the previously mentioned games.

Now here's hoping JAPAN studio gets to work on the PC port of Bloodborne.....a game that autogynephiles are obsessed with and one that will actually sell a boatload to the mass market. EVERYONE WINS?

Not even two weeks.

They are going to teach this at Business Schools together with Bud Light. Forget E.T. , this is the biggest video game failure in the industry's history.

Sony should liquidate the entire studio, get rid of the of all the staff affected by the "woke mind virus" that allowed this to happen.. This is the result of ignoring all criticism and calling it white noise. Sony execs must be spitting vile right now and demanding heads on pikes for this financial and reputational debacle.

The lead character designer in particular should be blacklisted from ever touching another project again. Most of the blame falls on him, nobody wanted to play with that hideous roster.

I know, the announcment on main page says 2 weeks, but its really more like 10 days. Chris chan literally worked for WENDIES longer than concord survived.
