Honestly it's funny to see anyone supporting the NDP. The NDP had many opportunities to call an election before things got this bad, and would've gained a lot of seats if they did so at the time. Now they have proven themselves to be spineless cowards that are completely complicit in the destruction of our nation, and will lose a lot of their seats because they wasted the opportunity to gain seats. The only people left are the insane left that will vote liberal and people who recognize that staying home or voting for the Conservatives is in their best interest.

Shifted to the right as in they're just another neoliberal party. They used to be a workers party many moons ago and my grandfather always supported them until he died in the 2000's. He worked at general electric until the 80's and back then according to him, workers mattered. This was long before the era of mass replacement and when people could make an income (even a family supporting income) with a job in a factory.
The NDP is not a workers party. They're in no man's land now. You can't do nothing for affordability issues, weaken labour laws etc. and expect to score with average people hoping for an end to displacement by foreigners and inflation.
'Rainbows' and immigration are dual sentiments shared by the liberals so once again. NDP is redundant.

The NDP have always trended towards being aristocrats at the highest levels. It was always the strange dichotomy within the party. Pro-Union, and worker...but also supports eugenics, as advocated by Tommy Douglas in his Master's Thesis. The rise of the Champagne Socialist has only grown the divide. It's hard to advocate for the gay empire, open borders, and ethno-socialism, while also advocating for blue collar workers.
Blue collar workers don't want pajeets competing for their jobs, they don't want their neighborhoods to become slums and their streets shit on, they don't want the demon clowns calling themselves drag queens around their kids, or meth zombies screaming in their streets. To the trendy NDP backer in Rosedale, with his million dollar home, gated community and ethnically homogeneous high-trust neighborhood. This is intolerable, racist, and homophobic and they sneer down at the people who make the stuff and mine the minerals that the Canadian economy is based on.
This puts the NDP candidate in a precarious position. Does he go hang out with the trendy millionaires who fund his campagin. Or does he cozy up to the miner who just wants more money, less work, lower taxes, pothole free streets, and for the government to brutalize criminals but otherwise leave him the fuck alone?
