No. If there were they wouldn’t have announced a bunch of big Switch games for the end of this year.Still no definitive news about when the next generation of this console might hit the market?
They're crafting-focused JRPGs where the items you prepared beforehand are the most important part of the combat, if you grind battle levels you're playing wrong. Earlier games have time management aspects while later games make the crafting more complicated instead. The new Atelier looks good too, although I haven't played anything from that series yet.
It wasn't mentioned in the Japanese Direct despite the trilogy appeared as a retail PS4 disc in Japan not long ago but I assume the games are rated CERO Z (18+) over there.Surprised that Stalker trilogy made it to the switch.
I was vaguely familiar with it, and intending to start with Rorona when I do play it. Thanks for the info! In particular, I didn't know Ryza was so bad. They're crafting-focused JRPGs where the items you prepared beforehand are the most important part of the combat, if you grind battle levels you're playing wrong. There are a few entry points to start the serie as a newcomer: Rorona, Ayesha, Sophie 2 and Marie remake.
Ryza is overrated trash between the oversimplified alchemy system and the ATB battles where you just spam the normal attack button in order to win, and I suspect the Ryza trilogy did irreperable damage to the franchise by making it mainstream.
Basically there is a total of sixteen (!) Atelier games currently on Switch, divided into different universes:I was vaguely familiar with it, and intending to start with Rorona when I do play it. Thanks for the info! In particular, I didn't know Ryza was so bad.
I'll keep all that in mind.
Lol, guilty. Guess I'll have to take a more casual approach.People shouldn't go into these games with an attitude of wanting to see everything in one go and never miss anything.
It's hard to choose a personal favorite considering I do enjoy both Arland and Dusk for their own merits.I was only planning to start with Rorona because I usually prefer to play series in release order, but maybe I should reconsider. Which is your favourite?
Good to know, thanks! I'll start with that one, then, though I'm not sure when I'll get around to playing it.It's hard to choose a personal favorite considering I do enjoy both Arland and Dusk for their own merits.
However if you really want something that is a treat to both eyes and ears, then I do recommend the Dusk trilogy starting with Ayesha no doubt.
It's a point I somewhat forgot to mention earlier but the Atelier soundtracks are rather unique by JRPG standards.
I have an uncle at Nintendo... well, he says he's my aunt now...only if you believe that random people on the internet actually do have an uncle that works at Nintendo
It's developed by Digshital Cucklipse... when it comes out I intend to scour xitter, yt etc to find objective reports about how laggy the emulation is, then come here to sperg about it. It will get 10/10 ratings from every elderly millennial who is nostalgic for that one time he rented Tengen Tetris on NES, but I will know the truth: Arcade Archives Tetris: The Grandmaster will remain superior. Or free emulation, whatever.Tetris Collection sounds cool, but where is Tetris Terror Instinct ?
I 'm kinda interested for Tetris Battle Gaiden getting an official translation but yeah I would rather just play the original cart I own or play a normal Tetris game like Tetris with Cardcaptor Sakura. It's developed by Digshital Cucklipse... when it comes out I intend to scour xitter, yt etc to find objective reports about how laggy the emulation is, then come here to sperg about it. Tried it. Kind of good, surprisingly challenging to the point that only an autist would love. But it's fucking sad, in a way.(Sophie 2 acts more like a spin-off storywise)
ConcordiaThe timing of this trailer drop though. Bringing me shades of the 90s console wars.
Probably because the last two games in the series weren't very good.I can't shake the feeling that it might be an dud, though.
The remakes or the two original 3DS games? Cause I kind of liked Dream Team. With this one, it kind of feels like it's missing something that'll make it stand out; but I wouldn't know until I see more of the dialogue.Probably because the last two games in the series weren't very good.
The two original 3DS ones. I thought the Superstar Saga remake was great to be honest. The remakes or the two original 3DS games? Cause I kind of liked Dream Team.
That may be because it's the first one not made by Alpha Dream. Don't know if anyone from Alpha Dream is working on it, but I'm guessing it's a totally different team. With this one, it kind of feels like it's missing something that'll make it stand out; but I wouldn't know until I see more of the dialogue.
