California is an expensive state, and not a good place for poors. Finding a place to live on welfare alone means living is some really shitty holes. I’m not familiar with SoCal but I assume she isn’t moving to a place like Hemet or Norco since Bowie is in a new school.
If she came from Afghanistan she’d get an apartment and lots of help as she walks around in her burka and spits out rowdy kids, but a US citizen isn’t getting much at all, probably not enough in food stamps to feed her much less her kid. Section 8 housing is a decade long wait.
She still has some social media money and a following so it may just be downsizing rather than close to homeless but it’s not looking good. And poor Bowie, a one bedroom with a fat mom. No friends over?
Tess still has the ability to work. She is capable of being a receptionist or office worker somewhere. Her glam days are over and finding a man to support her has been a no-go. If she were smart she’d go get a job, get on a diet, try to get on with the State where she’d have some retirement security.
She’s a cow though so she’ll do whatever the opposite of that is.

Fun fact: she was a dental office receptionist when she got signed with Milk Model Management in 2014, making a whole $25k / year. Not having a high school diploma makes it difficult for her to get further than minimum wage reception work in a small office environment.

She was never anything more than a novelty act but thought she could live a lavish lifestyle off of it. The really unfortunate thing is that she was given way too many second chances. Those have all dried up but in spite of herself she had about 5-6 years where she got onto the D- list. Her cake john arc extended her lifestyle another 2-3 years. Despite being her own worst enemy, along with insulin resistance, she did far better than I think most would expect. The demand for morbidly obese middle aged models is nearly zero so there’s no further chances as a model. For the instances where one is needed, there’s no shortage of other women who haven’t salted the earth in terms of their reputation. While I’m sure she doesn’t see it this way, Tess got a lot of lucky breaks in life.

Honestly, if Tess had a nice personality and she had kept herself under 250 elbees, I think she could have kept her career going. Hell, she could have even made a lot of money! But she refused to learn anything during her time in the industry. You reap, what you sow. Love that for her.

And Emme did very well. She was a fat model who Tess probably thought she might replace. Emme kept her weight so that normies didn’t get sick when they saw her, but was still fat.
Tess not so much. With a modicum of self-control and graciousness (and fewer tattoos) she could be living in a paid off beach cottage by now.
She never understood the career she was trying to enter. She’s using her face and body to sell stuff, in her case to fat women. Each tat she added made it harder for clothes to be shown off. Each pound she gained made it harder to sell the sizes they wanted. Each opportunity she got, she let go. She once got a chance to critique clothes from a red carpet walk for TV-she didn’t understand clothes and just got high, and JVN (her hairstylist at the time) did the work and look where he is.
She didn’t study, learn, understand. So the opportunities disappeared. She was very lucky to have had a beautiful face-the world likes beauty. She ruined all her chances by being stupid, lazy, crude and mean. A lolcow.

Disagree, fren. Her tattoos were always going to be a huge (lol) barrier to entry for most brands, and pretty much everyone ages out of modeling by their 30s with a few exceptions. Gaining weight, lying about her size, and being a bitch were only part of her problem.
If she had gotten down to two hundred pounds in her 20s and not treated her skin like a hipster sketchbook, I think she could have booked lots of jobs in accessories: shoes, purses, fine jewelry, etc on top of plus clothing. Accessories modeling could have padded her pocketbook into her 30s and 40s.
Before she got too fat to care for it, her hair was also a huge asset for modeling. She did briefly spokesmodel for a hair care company, booked by her old agency. Pissing that agency off was the dumbest thing she's ever done.

I still suspect she’s packing up to move back to the South. Her family is religious, I feel like that has been documented here? Hence the Christian school. She went back for a visit to place Bowie in school before the year started and is now back packing up all her shit to sell or store.

And her tattoos would get ruined from skin removal surgery. Not a great loss, because most of them are trashy, but it would be a shame to see her Dolly Parton tattoo be ruined.

Tess just made it up, much like her Italian ancestry. She made this big reveal a couple years ago, thinking it was going to give her pee oh cee credibility. She would not be able to point out Sicily on a map. She just thinks it sounds cool so that’s good enough for her. If she took a 23 and Me, it would reveal Scots-Irish ancestry, which most people in Mississippi have.
I agree and upthread I said this new move is a dry run for her to go back to Mississippi. Only reason why she hasn’t made the move yet is the long shot chance her dead and gay model career will get revived. She has no friends or family in the area, Rylee is now an adult, and her lifestyle has taken a big tumble down. There’s nothing she does in California that she can’t do in Mississippi. However, her moving back is basically a concession that her model days are over and not sure she’s mentally ready to throw in the towel just yet. The Los Angeles metro area is big and while others were joking about Hemet, it would not surprise me if she’s in a similar area a long ways away from Los Angeles but is in the metropolitan area if you really want to expand the definition of it.
