The thing is, I'm not sure it can be fixed, and judging from what the NHS urologists are saying, they don't sound too sure, either. They're not turning him down out of spite, regardless of what he might believe. It's not even about insurance coverage like in the States. He's suffered extensive tissue loss and what's left is a scarred up mess, and there is a very real possibility that another surgery would add to his existing issues. Not to mention that he seems to have completely unrealistic expectations of what revision surgery could do, rambling about fantastical nerve hook-up procedures to restore erotic sensation. That's gone forever, Ritchie; your goal from now on should be to preserve locomotion and waste management, i.e. make sure you don't end up in a wheelchair with a colostomy bag.

So I got my wisdom teeth out a bit ago and the experience has been absolutely awful. I thought I’d be back up and at it in a couple days at most, but I’m sitting here five days in still feeling the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life.

This has made me very concerned about my future regarding transitioning medically. I’m pre-op everything right now, planning to definitely get top surgery, and am researching phallo versus metoidioplasty. I’m wondering how the recovery of phallo post-op compares to getting wisdom teeth out.

I’ve heard that metoidioplasty has a quicker recovery time, but from what I’ve been able to find it looks like the recovery time is only 2ish weeks faster than phallo, and there are a lot of other things I prefer about phallo over metoidioplasty. I was able to find some information saying that top surgery wasn’t that bad compared to getting wisdom teeth out. But I was wondering how the pain I’m experiencing right now will compare to phallo. I’m starting research on bottom surgery and this subreddit has been immensely helpful. I looked for a while though and couldn’t find anything regarding this specific question so I was wondering, what are your guys’s experiences with sex before and after the procedure? I’ve read that phallo provides less sensation in the dick than metoidioplasty, but I’m wondering how much of a difference it is from having a vagina/tdick. Is it worse? Is it better? I suppose the recent and experimental development of this 'surgery' doesn't help either. I mean, if something (unlikely as it may be) went wrong with an appendectomy, the medical team has a wide breadth of resources (textbooks, other more experienced professionals, etc) to fall back on to fix the issue. But with this, the only people who know what they're even looking at is the butcher most of the time, and in Ritchie's case his butcher is dead.

Do you recall where you read or heard him saying this? I was under the impression he absolutely does not want more surgery. You would hope keeping a fake vagina from caving in on itself or growing more internal hair takes precedence over seeking erotic sensation.

This is the only concrete post I can find within this thread, but he has mentioned reversal surgery on his Xitter more than once. If I remember correctly, he had some really fantastical ideas about taking his big toe(!) and hooking it up with a severed crotch nerve to make a new sensate glans. Some absolutely retarded stuff, for sure. He's not living in reality at all.

Yes, and there's no escaping the fact that any surgical procedure, however conservative, would create more scar tissue, and it's already been established that he doesn't heal/bounce back easily. If he has a medical emergency like an intestinal blockage or a sepsis, they'll have to operate on him then, but if/until that happens (and I genuinely hope not, even though I can't stand the guy) he's still at a stable place right now, and further elective surgery might push him back to not-so-stable.

I wouldn't say they're comparable; Jazz was basically the outward face of Childhood Transitioning and having his amhole surgery fail so catastrophically and publicly was a major disaster, hence those responsible for creating it had to do everything in their power to save face. For Jazz this meant 3 revision surgeries so far, and being none the closer to a vagina that actually works anything like a vagina, but Marci Bowers had to keep trying to fix the mess he'd created to hold on to any claims of credibility.

Ritchie was an adult nobody with mental health issues and obvious AGP who got funneled into the trans pipeline because he spent too much time gooning online and wanted a simple fix for his issues. No one knew about him before he gained some notoriety on TERF twitter for being honest about his non-functioning amhole. He got his amhole on the tax payer dime, so the incentive to "fix" him when he's not actively in the process of dying is not really a priority. He's been disingenuous about a number of things, such as being "forced" to get genital surgery by the establishment. His original claim was that the clinic that got him therapy threatened to withdraw that service unless he booked a date for amhole surgery... only to redact that statement and say he "misunderstood" that he would be denied further mental health counseling services, when in fact the "threat" was of being removed from the SRS consultation list.
