Small, upstart cons are what I prefer. The giant cons are fun don't get me wrong, but the smaller ones are much, much easier to meet new people and make connections at.
So that's why the MAXes like to "face down" towards the earth. It's all making sense now.
In the current climate of nigh on double digit percentage increases at most major cons that's disastrous.
Any drop in attendance this year is awful and out of line with the majority of cons, but almost a 15% drop? Jeeze. Maybe next year they can advertise it as "the only con where you can actually get a room".

Getting a ride on a plane nowadays is gambling with death anyway (thanks Boeing!), I hope he just drives off into the sunset laughing maniacally.
Fly Spirit airlines and don't treat the staff like shit, and you'll have yourself a cozy ride on a nice, safe Airbus (usually an A321), on the cheap. The flight crew will deal with the trash (human and inanimate). They'll treat you like royalty just for not being an asshole.

This is seriously why it needs to stop being a thing that people pretend furry cons are EVER going to be some kind of "family friendly" event. Even when the con runners are acting in good faith and not covertly encouraging it themselves, they do a piss poor job of keeping out malefactors, who are enormously disproportionately present in the con population.
