I grew up in a liberal household in a very liberal neighborhood in the Twin Cities area. During the 2000s being a liberal was more being against the Iraq war and supporting infrastructure projects. But around 2013 or so the DFL became an infantile caricature of themselves. I remember them getting pissy over the term Asian Carp, them removing these old paintings in the capital building (One had a Native American woman with exposed boobs another was a gory depiction of a civil war battle), and getting suddenly angry at the name of Lake Calhoun something NO ONE had a problem with before and renaming it to something no one can pronounce. It felt kinda personal since everyone from around here had found memories of riding their bicycle down to that lake on the bike trails around the city. I began to think that the DFL wasn't as great as they presented themselves as being.
Then Gamergate happened, I was not there when Gamergate happened but was there in the aftermath. I remember when Anita Sarkissian got this New York Times Journalist to go over to Japan and give an interview to Shigeru Miyamoto saying something like "You are a horrible evil sexist man that makes sexist games, how does that make you feel?" to him. It pissed me off, you don't do that to a gaming legend. I did began getting into Sargon and Mr Metokur around that time. Those two and a few others help unraveled most of the liberal conditioning I had grown up with though I had not accepted any rightwing thought yet nor have I embraced Donald Trump who my first reaction was that of my liberal peers.
I remember when The Rape of Cologne happened on New Years eve 2015-2016. Being partially ethnic German that was the first time I felt my people being under attack. I was never a supporter of refugees but that was the moment I began to realized of how the migrants were being weaponized against Europeans. It was my first major redpill and was when I knew something was terribly wrong with the western world. In the following June, I began watching Trump and began to embrace him and following media scandals of that year drove me to completely distrust mainstream media. I was too young to vote for Trump in 2016 but that was when I knew where my place was.
In that same time there was Krautgate with the pregnant trouts and RageafterStorm. What Kraut did pissed me off and was following the Mister Metokur series on it. At a certain point during the scandal we were all presented a crossroads decision, do we embrace White people and the right? Or do we embrace people like Kraut and Tea? I choose to embrace White people and the right. During that scandal a 4chan thread brought up Kraut and Tea's Kiwifarms page and embed a link to it. Curious I clicked through and it was the first time I've ever heard of or used Kiwifarms. Years later I finally decided to get an account following the TNO spergdom.
I still live in Minnesota, things can be hard sometimes. I have jump back and forth between the Black pill pessimism and regaining morale. But I will always love Kiwifarms and the people here.

They're trying to put pressure on ABC to change the rules with this petty-ass, "brat-coded" statement.
Honestly, all I see is her complaining that she's been deprived of her "I'm speaking!" moment.
Also, she knows that if Trump isn't able to interrupt her, she'll actually have to answer questions in the full time she's been given. She's going to have either a lot of dead air like Biden did in his debate, or she's going to toss some serious word salads in her typical Kamala fashion. Either way, it's not good for her.
Remember before the debate against Biden, when the Democrats were cheering over the fact that Trump's mic would get muted? I 'member!

It's been said before but Trump is great at charisma, thinking on his feet in quick session, and being able to fire back at attacks. He has a youthful energy that is keeping him in good shape.

Most people won't watch the debate. All they need is to have Kamala to remember and somewhat coherantly fire off some "catch phrase" retorts to Trump. Then those that hate Donald who watch her be a trainwreck and those who hate Donald and didn't watch. Will be told that moment "EPICALLY DESTROYED" Trump and that will become fact to them.

Like I said, every time there are a bunch of election fad terms. So annoying. This year it's joy and brat, and 'vibes' election. Also Gish Gallop, which is something I'd never heard before but on DU and other sites they act like it's some long term thing everyone uses. Like all those weird sex terms like 'it's always been called demisexual' or whatever bizarre thing made up on the spot. Even if it's not 'literally' brand new, nobody normal heard of most of these things before. Dog whistler and gaslighting were the 2016/20's ones.

So what happens if Trump agrees to not have muted mics with timed debated, then refuses to interrupt her? Give himself extra time to think of zingers for her word salads or go "oh you're done already?" for her shorter answers. Then if Harris is the one constantly interrupting him then she looks bad.
