A lot of this incel content reads to me like a perception of powerlessness based on a competitive drive leading the incel to self inflicted perceptions of emasculation (as evidenced by the common refusal to even try) and the simultaneous urge to "preserve their manhood" through threatening acts of fear and control.

The best thing that could happen is smart phones and social media going out of style. Maybe some hipsters will start this by switching over to flip phones and only use computers for work, occasional gaming, software-based hobbies.

But also, parents should refrain from gifting their sons desktops and smart phones until they are at least 16. Make sure they're in sports at a young age and don't coddle them, encourage them to apply for colleges out of state. For some reason, boys are less independent than girls and need a huge push so they don't become neckbeards.
