Mostly it's due to her hormones being out of whack because she's a deathfat with diabetes.I wonder so much sometimes how she never gets full. Her stomach seems to be an abyss that just never ends. Even Dante's Inferno had a beginning and ending.
The main culprits are ghrelin and leptin. Leptin decreases appetite, while ghrelin increases it.
Because the amount of leptin is directly linked to the amount of body fat and the main inducer is insulin, being obese leads to elevated leptin levels. This can result in leptin resistance, which leads to uncontrollable huger.
Also land whales, may have an overly active ghrelin receptor, which leads to increased calorie intake because their stomach sends the "Bitch, I'm full!!!" signal to the brain with difficulty.
It's a vicious cycle where they feel constant hunger and when they eat they overdo it because they don't feel sated.
