Mostly it's due to her hormones being out of whack because she's a deathfat with diabetes.

The main culprits are ghrelin and leptin. Leptin decreases appetite, while ghrelin increases it.

Because the amount of leptin is directly linked to the amount of body fat and the main inducer is insulin, being obese leads to elevated leptin levels. This can result in leptin resistance, which leads to uncontrollable huger.

Also land whales, may have an overly active ghrelin receptor, which leads to increased calorie intake because their stomach sends the "Bitch, I'm full!!!" signal to the brain with difficulty.

It's a vicious cycle where they feel constant hunger and when they eat they overdo it because they don't feel sated.

I remember alaa talking about her giving money to Salah, I think that might be how we know about it? If this happened, that means alaa knew that the father bought him into the biz (and I think this happened before he met chantal. He needed a job on paper for his visa, they might have been cracking down when kuwait "reopened" after covid, which was a few months before chantal met salah) AND chantal gave salah money. I was kind of under the impression that she thought she was also buying into the business herself - remember when she said she was going to create a line of soaps (irony)? Alaa might not be completely clear of the goings on, since he was smart enough to not invest in the business. The business was with Murad.

My favorite explanation for chantal's 9k is that Salah convinced her that the bride pays the dowry.

This video basically says the same things people have been saying, and quotes from the same places, albeit some quotes are out of context, people have been quoting since the kuwait era started.

Chantal isn't legally married in Kuwait. We know this because Kuwait doesn't allow legal weddings on a tourist visa. There is no other visa chantal could have entered on Even if they got married in Thailand, Salah can't qualify or afford to sponsor her even if they are legally married, so it doesn't matter for anything other than renting. For the right price, I'm sure there are some crooked imams who will fill out the paperwork with or w/o a male chaperone on the bride's side. Likewise, I'm sure there are many landlords willing to accept an iffy misyar certificate for the right price.

Kuwait has two travel visa types, a tourist visa and a visit visa. The latter can be renewed or extended, but it's a sponsored visa, so I guess for family or something. I don't know much about it other than it's not what Chantal's on. Much of the video used points about the visit visa when convenient, and a travel visa when it didn't inconveniently disprove something said earlier. Maybe the creator was confused, Kuwait's sites do use the terms visitor and tourist interchangeably at times.

The 90 day tourist visa can't be extended or renewed. There's some extension possibility organized through a tour operator, but chantal's not on a tour. Maybe a health emergency would give her a temp extension, but she'd have to provide proof. I doubt "muh 'betus" counts, and they wouldn't want her back with a history of medical emergencies connected to her passport.

I can't find any published info on how long someone needs to be out of the country per year on back-to-back tourist visas. I've seen this theory floating around, but I haven't seen proof. I've checked official and non-official sites. If this info exists, it's well-hidden.

She's not in Thailand for visa requirements. She planned to be in Thailand for at least two weeks, based on something she said in a fridge cleanout video. She's going to be there eating and getting high till she runs out of money. When she returns to Kuwait, she'll leave 90 days later, which should conveniently get her back to canada in time for gift-opening season.

Long story long, that video had no tea and didn't tell us anything we didn't already know.

She takes 2 kinds of diabetes medicine. The metformin, that she cant swallow and skips, and insulin, that is an injectable.
if she took something in pillform, its the metformin.
She said previously, that she didnt bring the insulin and salah said she did. What the truth is, is anyones guess. The insulin needs to be refridgerated, so she might have left it at home because of the hassle.

Of course she gets the hotel to do her laundry at a huge markup. If she wasn't so lazy, she could easily hurple to a self serve laundry and wash/dry a load for less than 100 baht, or find a small business to do it for her for 50-80 baht/kg of clothes. At the hotel, she paid 100-200 baht per item.
