Apalachee Highschool Shooting in Georgia on September 4th, 2024

I don't see why the fact that he's a minor matters. It's not as if a 14 year old is oblivious to the fact that murder is wrong
Minors are given lenience all the time. Their brains aren't developed, so many crimes where an adult would have earned the death penalty, a minor would get life without parole. Many cases where an adult would get life without parole, a minor committing the same crime would get life with the opportunity for parole in 20-30 years. And yes, parents are usually held accountable for their childrens' misdeeds. Parents can get in legal touble for a child that has constant attendance issues in school and parents can be held financially responsible for any damage to property their child causes. I'm surprised more parents of school shooters aren't held liable, but most school shooters die at the conclusion of the event. I suspect it's a bad look to prosecute bad parents that are also grieving the loss of their own shitstain son.

It's because we know kids are dumb and prone to making rash decisions, there exists (in theory, anyway) opportunity for the minor turn his or her life around after their brain's done developing and they realize the severity of their actions. Some kids are just fucking evil, sure, but there are legal precedents for assuming most were simply raised wrong and need time to learn how to not be a fuckup.

CNN has a new article going over everything, this is pretty much the real meat of it at the bottom:

Discord account linked to suspect shared plans for mass shooting

The Discord account that the FBI had linked to Colt Gray last year referenced plans for a future mass shooting and shared screenshots of firearms, according to documents obtained by CNN.
“im committing a mass shooting and im waiting a good 2-3 years,” stated the account user, according to screenshots included in an FBI incident report from May 2023 obtained by CNN. “I cant kill myself yet, cause I’m not contributing anything to culture I need to go out knowing I did.”
The account referenced Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter, and in separate posts shared a desire to target an elementary school and expressed frustration with the acceptance of transgender people.
Above a photograph of two firearms, the account posted, “I’m ready.”
The FBI tip was shared with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, which closed the investigation after finding that “the user behind the Discord account that made the threat cannot be substantiated.”
A Discord spokesperson told CNN on Wednesday the platform removed an account “believed to be associated with” Gray in May 2023 for violating Discord’s policy against extremism.

A weird pro-tranny kid wanted to make his mark on the world. Looks like the pooner from Sandy Hook is having some copy cat killers.

Why do people keep bringing up mullets? That's not a mullet hairstyle. It looks like a regular medium-long hairstyle with layers, which tbh is odd for a teenage boy to have.
Semi kept long hair is not uncommon among young males in the rural south, has been for a long time. Standard redneck style (I am guilty of this too, once upon a time) Winder was rural, at least time I was there 20 years ago. It's exploded much like the rest of Gwinnett County since then. He may not be a tranny, but he is going to be real purdy in prison!

how do you get pro-tranny out of that? It says frustration with the acceptance of trans people not frustration from the lack of acceptance.
This little retard was too stupid to recognize the pendulum swinging away from tranny acceptance or he was just making excuses (likely).

I also live in the rural South and I see more than a few younger guys sporting longer hair styles, they don't bleach their hair and have cut in layers like that. The average teenage boy really doesn't give a shit about their hair, especially white trash boys. To put it bluntly, he looks gay or like he's on the cusp of trooning out with that haircut and color.

Because you're reading the CNN spin where they left out that the dad said he was bullied for being gay and didn't like the way that the school lacked acceptance of trans people.

I see the mention of being bullied in that one but no mention of the lack of trans acceptance thing. Searching trans on that article just pulls up six instances of "transcript".
Is the trans acceptance bit from a different source?

From a CNN article [A]:

I sure wish journos had any semblance of command over the english language. Does this mean he was frustrated BECAUSE OF tranny acceptance, or frustrated because there wasn't enough tranny acceptance?
Edit: Late and gay again :sigh:

Take your son hunting, take your son to the range, but do not allow your son unmonitored access to firearms. Particularly, do not buy your son his very own firearm, with his own access, especially if you already had a sitdown with glowies over your son making threats. What the dad did, if all what's being said is factually correct, is nothing short of criminal negligence.
I think bolt action rifles for minors are a good compromise. Caliber should be a .22 or lower. It allows for hunting and recreation which is more popular in the South.

Listened to Colt Gray's hearing. He's facing Death, Life without parole, or life with possibility of parole.
Colt is not facing death.

Roper v. Simmons
The Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments forbid imposition of the death penalty on offenders who were under the age of 18 when their crimes were committed. Supreme Court of Missouri affirmed, and Stanford v. Kentucky overruled.
Life without parole is the most likely punishment.

Basically to sum it up:

in the case that he is either gay or a tranny, this is very deceptive word salad to confuse people and make them fill in the gaps with "oh, he was a white trash hunter, obviously he hated trannies". typical media tricks

on the other hand, his dad claiming that he had been bullied for being gay doesn't actually mean he was gay. calling a kid gay and claiming he's dating another guy is standard bullying tactics even if he wasn't gay

there are still some gaps that need to be filled. since (i think) the judge said they're allowing the trial to be televised, hopefully the truth will come out in time

that hair though....Colt's faggy hair is still the #1 red flag so far

His father told law enforcements that Cole was bullied for "being gay". Since his father is a hardcore boomer, he might not understand nuanced difference between gay and trans. Source

It says the exact opposite on the excerpt you posted.
This is an ambiguous sentence and could mean either way:
frustration with the acceptance of transgender people

They do have command over language. That's why they purposefully made it as ambiguous as possible. They didn't want to let anyone know that a kid shot up a school because he didn't like the way trans people were treated.

There was no proof that it was him threatening to shoot up schools. Nothing that the FBI with all their digital forensic experts could link to him.

Surprisingly enough, people lie to investigators, some very convincingly. And some tell the truth that it was not them, because it wasn't.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Shit tier logic. You think there's even the remotest chance that the FBI zeroed in on a kid that would eventually shoot up a school for posts online about shooting up a school that weren't his?

Does bolt action even exist for .22lr? I've seen lever action, pump action and semi-auto for .22lr, but never bolt action on a caliber that small.

I'd be inclined to agree, but I feel like the kids are too stunted nowadays, they take too long to grow up. Your great grandfather used to sneak into the military at the ripe age of 15 to earn the honor of garroting krauts in the Ardennes forest, but they don't make kids like that anymore. For the minor to have unrestricted access, I think it would need to be something that's not legally a firearm. A .177 pellet gun, or possibly a muzzleloader. Something that's so inefficient for a mass shooting that they either won't kill anyone or they'll get one shot off before being taken down.

For everything else: If the minor "owns" it, the parent should still restrict and monitor access until adulthood. Zoomers and Gen Alpha kids have proven themselves thoroughly stunted and we need to stop extending inalienable rights to minors like they're tax-paying American citizens.
