Apalachee Highschool Shooting in Georgia on September 4th, 2024

His father told law enforcements that Colt was bullied for "being gay". Since his father is a hardcore boomer, he might not understand nuanced difference between gay and trans. Source
Bullied for being gay could mean actually gay, could mean trans, or could mean weirdo. Gay can mean any number of things or just an excuse to bully someone for being a (non-literal) fag.
Although it would not be surprising if he were trans the only evidence one way or the other is an ambiguous sentence which could be pro- or anti-tranny.
Seems like a lot of people here are jumping to conclusions.

This is an ambiguous sentence and could mean either way:
If you are being tremendously obtuse, perhaps. If they meant lack of acceptance, they would certainly say so, but I´ll give you the benefit of the doubt. If it is ambiguous, you certainly cant claim he was pro-tranny substantiated by nothing else.
About the gay stuff, his father is of pretty low character and probably lied to the FBI as did the kid on the encounter to get him out of trouble.

CNN has a new article going over everything, this is pretty much the real meat of it at the bottom:

A weird pro-tranny kid wanted to make his mark on the world. Looks like the pooner from Sandy Hook is having some copy cat killers.
The article obfuscates the point on purpose, but given that they are purposely doing that, it seems like it’s just another troon/TRA killing innocents due to transgenocide.
When are they going to address the surge of trans mass shooters?

My Hot Take Heuristics have already gotten yanked around by the initial dead/wounded reports that made it seem like the perp was black, so I’m feeling kinda once bitten, twice shy about the latest gay/trans acceptance info.
But, if true, when combined with the fairy ass looking mugshot I’m thinking we got another troon or troon adjacent here. Kid looks like Ulillillia swapped out Bubsy3D for hair products.

Also, the father said he went to the former school to talk a lot about his kid bullying to the FBI but, when he changed schools, the kid missed a bunch of days so his commitment to the boys education and problems related to that are veeeery iffy. I am leaning heavily to the father also lying a lot to the FBI and just throwing shit on the wall to see what sticks.

It’s a huge advantage for kids (especially ones starting at a new school) to start attending on the first day so they can really start building those friendships.

Kids are petty but I can see the beginnings of cliques forming in the first few weeks, then Cole comes in new kid not knowing anyone.

Starting with their peers or ideally having friends at their new school in advance helps so much with blending and socializing.

That combined with the buying his red flag kid a gun AFTER the FBI visit, going to go with this dad is both smooth brained and a piece of shit person not just parent.

From a CNN article [A]:

I sure wish journos had any semblance of command over the english language. Does this mean he was frustrated BECAUSE OF tranny acceptance, or frustrated because there wasn't enough tranny acceptance?
Edit: Late and gay again *sigh*
They have since edited the article. It now reads:

“The account referenced Adam Lanza, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooter, and in separate posts shared a desire to target an elementary school and expressed frustration that transgender people were being accepted in society.”

I assume what happened is that when twitter grifters like LOTT and End Wokeness used the vague language to portray the shooter as pro trans, the author(s) got a stern talking to by management and they had to bring someone in to clean it up. It has 6 authors after all. IMG_1372.jpeg

Full text of the Daily Mail piece:

Georgia school shooter Colt Gray was bullied by classmates who called him gay, his father told detectives in an interview last year.

Colin Grey, 54, made the claims when he was interviewed by the Jackson County Sheriff's office after the FBI received a tip that his son had threatened a shooting at his middle school.

'It was very difficult for him to go to school and not get picked on,' Colin Gray told an investigator, according to a transcript of the conversation obtained by DailyMail.com.

The father added: 'It went from one thing to another... I was trying to get him on the golf team... [they were like] Oh, look, Colt's gay. He's dating that guy. Just ridiculed him day after day after day.'

Gray, 14, is charged as an adult in the deaths of Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, Richard Aspinwall, 39, and Cristina Irimie, 53. Nine people were also hurt in Wednesday’s attack at Apalachee High school in Winder, outside of Atlanta.

He and his father appeared in back-to-back hearings Friday morning with about 50 onlookers in the courtroom. The elder Gray is also charged in connection with the shooting, including with counts of involuntary manslaughter and second-degree murder.

Colin Gray told police this week he purchased the weapon used in the killings as Christmas present for his son last December, according to authorities.

The teen was interviewed after the sheriff received a tip from the FBI that Gray, then 13, 'had possibly threatened to shoot up a middle school tomorrow.' The threat was made on Discord, a social media platform popular with video gamers, according to the sheriff's office incident report.

The post read: 'im committing a mass shooting and im waiting a good 2-3 years... I cant kill myself yet, cause I’m not contributing anything to culture I need to go out knowing I did.'

The poster added, 'I'm ready,' above a photograph of two guns.

They had reportedly referenced the Sandy Hook shooting and expressed frustration 'with the acceptance of transgender people,' CNN reported.

Speaking to police in May, 2023, Colin said he had recently separated from his son's mother, and that 'she took his younger two' kids, leaving him to care for Colt, who he said was struggling at Jefferson Middle School.

The father said Colt 'gets flustered and under pressure,' and 'doesn't really think straight.'

Colin added that he was trying to teach his son about weapons and get him interested in the outdoors in order to 'get him away from those video games.'

He showed the officer a picture of Colt with blood smeared on his face and said it was from when the teen shot his first deer, which the father described as the 'best day ever.'

'He knows the seriousness of weapons and what they can do, and how to use them and not use them,' Colin Gray said according to a transcript obtained from the sheriff's office.

The father claimed he and his son talked about school shootings 'quite a bit,' adding that 'you never really know and I don't want anything to happen to him.'

Colin reportedly assured officers that he would be 'mad as hell' if he learned the allegations about his son making threats were true, and that 'all the guns [would] go away.'

On Friday the teen appeared in court in person in shackles, dressed in a green t-shirt and grey sweat pants. He kept his head down, with his hair covering his face, and spoke softly only to Judge Currie Mingledorff, replying ‘yes sir’ when asked to confirm his name.

Meanwhile his father cried as he appeared shortly after his son in the same courtroom, charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two of second degree murder and eight of cruelty to children.

Judge Mingledorff brought Gray back in to correct a statement he made, telling him: ‘I wanted to make it clear to you that the penalty does not include death. It includes life without the possibility of parole or with the possibility of parole.’

A 2005 Supreme Court decision forbids the execution of offenders who were under the age of 18 when their crimes were committed.

The teen denied threatening to carry out a school shooting when authorities interviewed him last year about a menacing post on social media, according to the sheriff’s report.

Conflicting evidence on the post’s origin left investigators unable to arrest anyone, the report said. Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum said she reviewed the report from May 2023 and found nothing that would have justified bringing charges at the time.

The FBI's tip pointed to a Discord account associated with an email address linked to Colt Gray, the report said. But the boy said 'he would never say such a thing, even in a joking manner,' according to the investigator's report.

The interview transcript quotes the teen as saying: 'I promise I would never say something where ...' with the rest of that denial listed as inaudible.

The investigator wrote that no arrests were made because of 'inconsistent information' on the Discord account, which had profile information in Russian and a digital evidence trail indicating it had been accessed in different Georgia cities as well as Buffalo, New York.

Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum said she reviewed the report from May 2023 and found nothing that would have justified bringing charges at the time.

'We did not drop the ball at all on this,' Mangum told The Associated Press in an interview. 'We did all we could do with what we had at the time.'

The Discord account had a user name written in Russian, and the translation of the letters spelled out the name Lanza, referencing Adam Lanza, the perpetrator of the Sandy Hook Elementary school tragedy, officers said.

Gray denied he was the author of the threats, telling police he'd shut down his Discord after being repeatedly hacked. He expressed concerns that someone would make those accusations about him.

'He knows the seriousness of weapons and what they can do, and how to use them and not use them,' the father, Colin Gray, said according to a transcript obtained from the sheriff's office.

The sheriff's investigators closed the case after being unable to substantiate that either Gray was connected to the Discord account, and did not find grounds to seek the needed court order to confiscate the family's guns, according to police reports released by the sheriff's office on Thursday.

The boy reportedly had an obsession with other infamous school shooters such as Parkland, Florida killer Nikolas Cruz.

Does bolt action even exist for .22lr? I've seen lever action, pump action and semi-auto for .22lr, but never bolt action on a caliber that small.

I'd be inclined to agree, but I feel like the kids are too stunted nowadays, they take too long to grow up. Your great grandfather used to sneak into the military at the ripe age of 15 to earn the honor of garroting krauts in the Ardennes forest, but they don't make kids like that anymore. For the minor to have unrestricted access, I think it would need to be something that's not legally a firearm. A .177 pellet gun, or possibly a muzzleloader. Something that's so inefficient for a mass shooting that they either won't kill anyone or they'll get one shot off before being taken down.

For everything else: If the minor "owns" it, the parent should still restrict and monitor access until adulthood. Zoomers and Gen Alpha kids have proven themselves thoroughly stunted and we need to stop extending inalienable rights to minors like they're tax-paying American citizens.
Yea, they exist. Bolt rifles are known for being extremely accurate and target shooters like them precisely for that reason.

My 11yo just asked me to teach him how to shoot and I plan on picking one up before eventually letting him move up the ladder as he gets older (and demonstrates he’s not a psycho since he’s on the spectrum).

It´s possible we will see some follow ups on his previous school times since that is the what is missing to understand the shooting. If they simply let the issue go, then we have some indications about the trans stuff.

Does bolt action even exist for .22lr?

The first firearm I ever shot was a single shot, bolt-action .22lr rifle.

Side note, whenever someone says "how many children have to die before you support gun control?" It isn't a rhetorical question- it's a threat. They want dead kids so you can't have guns. They don't want to arm teachers to protect their students. Sporting events and concerts have security screenings with metal detectors and armed security, but schools just get some signs saying "no guns allowed" and MAYBE an SRO.

If CNN isn't proclaiming him a murderous MAGA tranny killer than he was unquestionably upset that nobody likes troons.

CNN's Isabel Rosales reports to Anderson Cooper about the Winder, Ga. school mass shooter's alleged Discord posts in 2023 expressing a desire to kill and frustrations over transgender issues. A transcript of Colt Grey's father's interview with law enforcement last year reveals that his son was allegedly bullied for being queer at school.

Most teachers don’t want to be armed, and they shouldn’t have to be. In the US most teachers are women, and in many cases the kids shooting up schools are either students or former students, it’s a real life trolley problem. The SROs in this case did their job well, and they should be awarded medals for their bravery. However, people still died needlessly.

That being said, vets who are mentally stable need jobs in our country, the TSA is fucking useless, and costs the country $10billion a year. Reallocate that to schools. Ever since 9/11 no hijackings will ever occur because a) they’ve hardened the shit out of the cabin door and b) the crew/passengers won’t let it happen. Prior to terrorists figuring out fully fueled intercontinental airliners made for really effective petrol bombs hijackings ended with a hostage situation in the worse case scenario.

I’m not a huge fan of security theatre though, and putting kids through having to pass through security every day is not an ideal situation. I don’t have any better ideas though. Homeschool your kids, and if you’re in a coop/tutorial, are well-disciplined/trained, volunteer to walk around and be a masculine role model. Kids need to know they’re safe and protected.

I don’t like the idea of charging the parents. Charge them for neglect and abuse yes, but to be charged for the crime of another is a terrible precedent.
The language used implies he was anti trans when pictures clearly show him wearing trans rights shirts. This is the same linguistic trickery used for things like the bomb threats ages ago at an event which were done by pro troons but pitched as anti. Pretty disgusting, I wonder if they will be able to keep that facade up if this goes to a big public trial?
but serial killing is a hobby on the verge of extinction.
The doctor interviewed in a thread on here had killed 400 plus in Canada as part of MAID and was thrilled to carry on. Serial killers still exist,

this shooter also started school late, and shot someone on his first day back to school.
According to officials, this was the first day of the suspects' attendance at school despite being the fourth day of the school year.
looks like we're finally reaping the toxic seeds that were sown by covid hysteria and locking children down in a dystopian hellscape for thee years
