The entirety of my youth and young adult life was hearing lefty spergs bitch relentlessly about how bush is a retarded hitler and cheney is his smarter ultrahitler handler.
And when the vast majority of republicans start thinking "yeah fuck those guys, they were kinda shit", dems go "ERM ACTUALLY THEY ARE HECCIN GOOD BOIS"

Hypocrisy is one thing and I should not be surprised at this point about anything but man it's still so bizarre to see so often
Today's enemy is tomorrows friend, todays friend is tomorrows enemy. That has been a thing in politics for years. Do we have to point out all the photo's of US presidents shaking the hand of Robert Mugabe and other dictators that US has said are evil at one point or another. Internal US politics is no different. Look at how RW activists act, when one of their own gets BTFO. "He never spoke for us" "nobody listened to him" "he was a grifter anyway". Last week before he got BTFO, you were linking his videos on twitter to pwn the libshits.

tl;dr: live like it's the great depression

Fani Willis was a retard for sure, but the case had more meat to it than any of the others leveled against Trump. Had literally any other prosecutor gotten that case, Trump would be in trouble.
What I find most offensive about her is not her corruption (as there are countless individuals in similar positions of power who are just like her)- it’s her blatant trashiness and stupidity. She’s just so utterly brainless, it actually hurts. Blacks who go into politics/government/law are either:

>Genuinely qualified, deserving, and a paragon for their race.

OR…

>The dumbest niggers alive, elected/appointed for the sole reason of being melanin-enriched, with no one seeming to care about the havoc they’ll surely wreak. <- Willis clearly belongs in this category

And she’s grotesquely ugly, on top of everything else. That hairline is atrocious.

A lot of these Westerners getting killed at Palestinian protests are just useful idiots aiding Hamas.
A picture really is worth a thousand words…

Doesn’t look like anything of value was lost here, guys.

Ok, I can't take much more of this loony bin, now half of DU fighting over if the shooter was a victim and just 'stood his ground' justly since it turns out he was a faggot. It really is the worst of the internet, but then I don't go to Reddit much. Even Pre-Musk Twitter wasn't usually this blatantly crazy (usually). It's hard to believe these people are real, and I used to think a lot of this online stuff was a long con, but it never is.
1: It's a right winger Trumper killing kids! Fuck the NRA!
2: BAN GUNS
3: Hmn, bullied, gay, TRANNY? Well...
4: He was a democrat too probably. Lets give him a chance.

6: WE LOVE GUNS AND SCHOOL SHOOTERS.. NO JUSTICE NO PEACE

The guy that made Step Brothers made an entire biopic 6 years ago about how Cheney is evil smart manipulative Hitler that tricked retard Hitler Bush into giving him more power than a vice president normally has which he used to cause hundreds of thousands of American soldier's deaths:

Listen I'm not defending Adam McKay by any means (he's literally done nothing worthwhile after making Vice), but that is an extremely accurate summarization of Cheney's political career.

It conflicts with sources that I've read/listened to, such as David Kilcullen, who directly state (or imply) that Bush was actually an extremely serious and calculating man, and that the person we saw on TV was something of an act. According to people like Kilcullen, Bush put on this act because he thought that was what Americans wanted/needed to see in a leader following 9/11. Behind closed doors and in meetings, Bush was very active, asked lots of questions, and - unlike Obama (again going by Kilcullen, who served in both administrations) - was willing to listen to outsiders and go with their ideas.

Edit to add: in fact, it deserves to be noted - in defense of Bush - that Kilcullen was openly critical of his decisions, but the Bush administration hired him anyway because he was (and still is) a leading counterinsurgency expert.

My impression is that Bush knew exactly what Cheney was doing. I could be wrong, though.

Lets also not forget the judge told the jury that they didn't HAVE to find him guilty to find him guilty. Just that he might have been possibly guilty in some hypothetical scenario, or somesuch bullshit.
Specifically what the judge directed was that the jury did not have to be unanimous in what the underlying crime the fraud was in pursuit of. So if half the jury thought he was guilty because he was doing it to get out of paying taxes and the other half thought it was to illegally influence the election, then it was still unanimous because all of them thought it was fraud in persuit of some felony.

The other fun is from what I understand the interpretation of the law is that you did not have to commit the felony, only that you had to do the fraud in an attempt to commit a felony. This is how they got around charging and convicting him of any of the other crimes.

Yes, this is all insane. Yes, this is a massive violation of due process. But it's good to know the specifics.

From my research Dubya knew exactly what Dick was up to but he absolutely used him as a pitbull to soak up the negative attention doing what Bush wanted attracted.
The "gee golly shucks" act Rockwell did in the movie was mildly irritating but Bale fucking nailed how mercenary Cheney was.

Cheney is a legitimately scary dude. I would not want to be in a room with him.

There's a reason national media skipped a generation when it came time to rehab the Cheney family because Trump disliked them.
Forgiving Dick was a bridge too far even for the most hardcore shitlib.
