I'm always surprised by how many people don't get this part of the story right. Most of the video essays, react channels etc seem to point at his raw vegan days as a sign of prosperity before his epic downfall. Anyone that's really been around eating disorders knows that -men and women- it's extremely common to cycle between eating disorders. Maybe he was healthier and not losing his shit on camera in front of piles of takis, but he was not really in a good place either.
Nick obviously also has a food fetish, and fetish people also have this very classic cycle of binge/purge behavior that you'll see with many lolcows or even just people in your life.... They'll throw all their fetish equipment away, loudly swear it off, talk about how reformed they are, and then 6 months later they return to it- sometimes very dramatically and hard, with extreme behaviors, spending sprees, hookups, and cutting people out of their lives in order to live the fetish. And then when the consequences start hitting, they pinky swear to never do it again, and the cycle repeats.
I predict that Nick will live out this cycle until his public presense gradually recedes or he has some form of intervention that involves social media no longer being his job. Or he dies an untimely death.
