Dude have you seen the delinquents give chase? There are zero variables, no ways to slow them down or throw them off the scent, that code is locked the fuck down. I've played and made a game of trying to find ways to stop them, shutting doors on them, teleporting around the map, going to class, going home, nothing works.
So the idea that Eva will then take this rigid as shit ridiculous code of "If I see corpse I will chase forever" and be able to introduce flexible variables like line of sight, time passed, location and hiding is cracking my shit up. He can't even figure out how to make those fuckers not run through walls when chasing, I sincerely doubt he can handle them giving up chase if Yan-chankunsama jumps into a box.

Have you tried activating easter eggs after they follow you? Do they really go through walls? If you teleport to the roof do they just fly there too?

Probably secretly disabled some colliders so the game has a higher a FPS, and as soon as the gym has colliders on it the FPS is fucked, obviously there are multitude of ways to fix the issue but that all involves effort which YandereDev won't put in. He also won't add the code to stop them as it meanings adding more if statements to check Ayano's position difference relative to her chaser or maybe if she is currently hiding in every Update method, and he already complains about how hard it is to edit the Update method.

Can you tell more about the delinquents? Despite standing still they seem to be the buggiest students in the game, constantly losing their model colors. Unlike the others they all *poof* in and out of existance as seen in the 12:46 of this video:

They disappear right before 8:30AM, how did Alex code this? Are they constantly updating/refreshing every ingame second?

Yes and yes, I've tried every trick to get them to stop. Weirdly doing that whole 'crazy laugh' thing did make them stop chasing me.....but it also broke the game and forced a reset.
And yes when I've used Easter eggs in particular, tried to leave the school, gone to that demon realm thing, started a game/cokking activity, you name it they've come flying through doors and walls to knock me out, they're beyond broken because of Evas 'I see a murder I will chase down forever' coding. Same with teachers, they bug out in the exact same way when chasing you.

Edited to add; to address your other question they were added to make disposing of bodies and weapons more difficult. They have no walking around routine, are not seen in the school and as you said poof in and out of existence at set times between classes to try and make it tricky to get away with murder. Eva used them as an excuse to add the circular saw murder method because you can put the dismembered limbs in a cello case to sneak past them (pointless because the delinquents don't register body parts as an actual body and dont give chase).
And then Eva screwed it up further by adding the wood chipper which means you can bypass the delinquents completely and just dispose of bodies that way. Now the only reason they exist is to justify the Delinquent Rival, aka a 'hardcore' chick with bandages over her boobs.

Even the demon realm lol...I get why he added the delinquents but it never really solved the problem, it only forces the player to wait for them to disappear.

Alex in general has a really bad mentality of NEVER REMOVING ANYTHING no matter how dumb and fundamentally flawed it is. He would rather add something else, create a new thing that interacts with the previous one so people stop complaining, especially when it's regarding to difficulty, just for the sake of adding "more features".

Stealing the answer sheet is too easy? I'll make make a gym teacher watch it BUT at the same time i will make a video explaining how to get past the teacher and give the player a distraction tool, so now it's easy again but with more things involved.

Kinda unrelated to everything but here is a funny video i found

Alex the master programmer simply can't make the teacher react in any other way that isn't inevitable expulsion.

>The teacher and nurse pursuing Senpai is a bit creepy, pedophilic and just plain wrong.

Fan: Pursing an 18-year-old is pedophilic? That is a very silly statement.

Uh...

1. We have no proof that they haven't done this sort of thing with younger students before, granted we have no proof they have but...
2. ...there ARE laws against teachers dating students, and if these two are willing to overlook those laws in order to pursue a relationship with Senpai then who knows what other laws they are willing to overlook?
3. Those laws exist with good reason, the power imbalance between a teacher and student is huge, if the two have a falling out the teacher can sabotage the students whole life before they've even had a chance to live it, the student can be a distraction from the teachers work too, if the teacher decides to play favourites.
4. The nurse doesn't have quite the same advantages but a doctor/paitiant set up is still quite an imbalance. She could drug him if she were so inclined and again if they have a falling out...I'm guessing she's the only nurse on campus? Him having to rely on her for care after a messy break up has bad idea written all over it.

In conclusion while not officially pedophilic, the scenario contains alot of the same reasons WHY pedophilia is wrong: The power imbalance, the fact that the teacher/nurse has about 20 odd years more experience in relationships and isn't being messed around by teenage hormones, the fact that it's ILLEGAL, it's MANIPULATIVE and it exposes the younger party (who might have developed physically but certainly not emotionally) to experiences that they really aren't ready for.

It'd be 100% worse if it was actually pedophilia, don't get me wrong, but power imbalances like this are still creepy as fuck. You can't sit there and say that the teacher/nurse are doing nothing wrong, they KNOW they shouldn't be messing around with the kids under their care, they KNOW the potential power they wield over them and frankly the fact that they are choosing to pursue a guy that young rather than someone their own age automatically makes me suspect the reason they're doing it is SOLELY BECAUSE the power is imbalanced in their favour.

Eva, Eva my boy. There's a HUGE diference between """forboden luv""" and fetish fuel. Please, stop pretending you know what you're doing and stop pretending you're aren't just putting all your wet dreams in one game.

You know, if the Mida Rana character would be depicted as being just as life-ruining for Senpai as default Ayano, I would be fine with the character (I'm willing to allow the nurse to be sympathetic if she was depicted as a college student who either works with the standard nurse or would have been had, say, a family emergency hadn't called her away at the last moment, essentially making her the apprentice nurse rather than the substitute nurse). In a game where the main character is a sociopath who is backed by a blackmailing information dealer, and where some of the students get off on watching you hurt/kill people, there is plenty of room for a rival who is strictly negative.

The main difference I would have is having Mida be less overt, unless the whole reason she doesn't even bother acting subtle is due to coercion/nepotism and her unique elimination method involves removing whatever she has on the police/administration.

>Comparing a Romeo and Juliet, a loving couple with rival families, to a predatory and pedophiliac teacher/student relationship.

I think Alex is confusing forbidden love with it's cousin, the ILLEGAL Love. Everytime i think he can't sink lower he surprises me with shit like this.

The main thing he's missing is it's not JUST the fact that it's a teacher-student relationship, it's that he specifically had to mention Senpai is 18 to make it ~not pedophillia~ and laugh at people who are uncomfortable with some cougar teacher who specifically goes after teenage boys. That's the nail that outright tells you Eva just wants to jerk off to the idea of the relationship, he absolutely HAD to make the relationship 'technically not pedophillia' instead of just rolling with the fact that hey, the teacher is not a good person and that's why you should prevent her from going after Senpai. No, it HAD to be 'acceptable in different circumstances'.
Just make the fucking ecchi game, Eva.

You make a good point. If YandereDev specifically made it clear that the teacher targeting Senpai was in the wrong, then it wouldn't be AS much of a problem. That, of course, would require Devpai to not be a gross NEET.

Chunks won't be added unless code is either spoon-fed to him from the Unity forums or he can find existing code that is actually shitty enough to be programmed in UnityScript(which isn't bad per se, just terrible for games with a huge scope).

YandereDev said:
Once we bring another programmer onboard the project, progress on the game would most likely halt for several weeks while the programmer is brought up to speed and various aspects of the game's code are refactored.

They don't need to brought up to speed if the sandbox is pretty much empty with no real gameplay mechanics.

The programmer would actually probably look at the clusterfuck of code in the Student method and notice it's using UnityScript, etc and quit.
