And like once in a blue moon, he comes out with an actually good video that makes him seem like a good guy. That's why I never thought him full LOL and put the thread here, he has SOME good qualities.

The video Charlie made on that situation was probably the most uncritical anti-idubbbz video I’ve ever watched. It basically just came down to “Ian is being melodramatic by releasing this video and he doesn’t understand why people were mad at him in the first place”. Compare that to most of Ian’s detractors who were calling him a safe edgy cuck and calling it out for likely being a diversion from the Froggy Fresh drama and Ian being a massive fucking sperg. But the video was still dislike bombed and the comments were flooded with people who knew absolutely nothing about Ian’s old content (or the circumstances surrounding him now and when that video came out) and who just took everything he said at face value while epically missing the point of Charlie’s video.
One of the videos that called him out was from DeAngelo Wallace, a YouTuber whose entire channel is boring fucking videos of him morally grandstanding about things he consistently knows nothing about. I single out Wallace because even though it didn’t do any lasting damage to Charlie’s career, the incessant “erm, do better sweaty!” moralfagging in a video of that type is detrimental to a guy like Charlie who’s image relies on him having moral superiority over whoever he’s talking about. Even though there was no lasting damage to Charlie’s career from that video, if he were to give a take that goes against the court of public opinion again he risks pissing people off and actually doing damage to his career.

Movie reviews are probably the one thing he'll actually drop the whole fence sitting thing on and just shit on stuff for real besides truly blatantly evil topics like this Diddy horror show going on. But then again Joker 2 is a pretty 'safe' on to shit on now too.
He is right, the movie is complete ass made by a director who didn't understand why the first movie he made was so good and why it resonated with so many people. So went to extreme lengths to do the exact opposite (because it appealed to the "wrong" audience of course) of everything in the first film to the predictable result of it being utter shit.

I haven't seen it either, but knowing from the leaks that Arthur gets raped by some big black guy and then later on killed by the "real" Joker at the end certainly makes me consider it absolute shit.

It's a musical - a jukebox musical - sequel to a movie that wasn't a musical. so there's a 90% chance it'll suck by default. Very reminiscent of Broadway's obsession with turning non-musical movies into musicals. Mean Girls, Carrie, Beetlejuice (yes, the original has 2 dance numbers in it, but it's not a fucking musical), the list goes on. God, I hate musicals.
