MAN
I wanted a second debate.

Is anyone interviewing Kamala? It'd be pathetic if no one is.
Could be that he's making them sweat a bit, they need it more than he does, so he might be able to dictate more favorable terms, like not having the moderators being from a network who will do the goddamn debate for Harris.

Hillary Clinton is a detestable woman, don't get me wrong ...

But oh my God, I can't believe I am saying this, but ... There are so many worse people in the Democrat Party than her at this point. Even from a likability standpoint.

2016 Hillary was practically a wordsmith compared to what we've seen from democrats in debates since. Holy shit. Even Hillary managed to get a few good zingers in against Trump during those debates (Trump's zingers were better since they are still talked about, but she still got some good zingers in there). The Biden and Harris strategy of debating Trump is just so tired now. It's the same tired lies being repeated over and over again instead of focusing on any policy.

Kamala basically debated the exact same way that Biden did, except that she didn't shit her pants, slur on any of her words, or bleed out from one eye. She was more coherent, but conveyed the exact same things that Biden did. There's literally no difference in substance.

My end opinion, largely a wash but Harris failed or seriously blundered everything she actually set out to do while Trump maintained his personal status quo. Leaving aside the idea of who 'won' a debate, each candidate came in with a set goal. Trump's was fairly simple, to not provide too much ammo to the TDS crowd while sneaking in a few lines people will subconsciously fixate on come voting time.

Harris had the bigger task. She needed to give people a reason to vote for her. As I have said before, people do vote -against- a candidate but they have justify it to themselves as voting -for- another. Harris has absolutely nothing, No policy, nobody voted for her, and the line "Why haven't you done it already" drives a massive nail in the final possibility, hope she would do -something-. She utterly failed that and managed to drop a few blunders that seriously hurt the very thing she needed to reinforce.

So, as a debate this was a wash. As a tactical objective? Trump maintained his goal, Harris undermined her own. Long-term, this debate was a loss for Harris more than a victory for Trump.
I disagree with a lot of this. Harris did give people (I don't mean Right wingers, I mean her base as well as some people who probably are best described as her base but are too disheartened to give her a vote) a reason to vote for her: all she has to do is not shit her pants and not come off as a cackling banshee who chokes on her own tongue. Who cares that she doesn't have a serious political policy? The policy that a lot of the Democratic base cares about is that she's a vote to make sure that Trump will no longer be a serious threat: he'll be a two time loser, an old(er) man and it's a savage blow to MAGA and the Right-wing.

Harris' task was the following: don't come off as completely unhinged, don't be so stupid that you give a bunch of sound byte fodder, and prove that you can be electable to a political side that would probably vote for almost anyone if they oppose Trump and don't have any irredeemable baggage to their name,

I think the risk was opposite. Harris just had to not do the equivalent to Biden's death rattle of a debate. Trump had to make her took too shitty to vote for in the eyes of her side's voters. I don't believe that Trump accomplished this while I think Harris did enough to inspire some hope. Again I mean hope in her as Kamala Harris, the person going against Trump, not hope in the person going against Trump, Kamala Harris. It's not anything like a kill shot or anything, but it's a slight Kamala win in my eyes.

He seems really upbeat. Said think about 2nd, no answer yet.
Again, compare this to the media silence on Kamala's end other than wanting a 2nd debate, implying the 1st debate wasn't enough for her.

Even after the obviously stacked bullshit for her. To the point that not even the media is saying ABC was biased against her.
Meaning the bias was not only planned, it was a fucking failure.

Also trying to regain the cat lady vote after the haitian bullshit means they also don't think it's #fakenews. Should've kept it safe for when the idiocy there ACTUALLY comes full bloom tho.

Alright so as far as the debate, trump won by dumb luck, having the response on an issue. She was actually pretty good at getting him on the ropes a couple of times but he bounced back and landed a few critical hits on her especially melodramatic speeches, her responses weren’t very good either because they only covered the questions face value and none in depth. israel is where she really lost because all my liberal insta friends got really mad when she took thier side and that really hung her. I wish trump would shut up a few times for optics and that’s my biggest criticism against him, but I do love seeing him fight 3 on one doom style and it’s always like andre the giant fighting midgets. Theyll say kam won mostly because she didn’t blow a gasket like joe but her prefomace was mid at best
It's easy to pretend you won when your predecessor thinks he's a traffic cone and debated like one before you.

Stating the obvious but liberals are just so damn miserable. Really, watch the young Turks meltdown compilations. They’re like little kids who never get their way and expect something to be different next time, repeat ad nasuem. Even when they do win, they moan because they didn’t win hard enough. I remember lefties coping when Texas went for Trump in 2020, and were pissed that Trump got a fuck ton of votes.
This is why you tell your children 'no' sometimes, guys. Don't let them become the Young Turks, parents!
Trumps stamina is just insane, he speaks like 12 hours a day and can keep going even after the debate. It’s fucking midnight.

Meanwhile Kamala could barely get through an hour of the debate without slurring and sounding like a drunkard. Trump’s already won the election
I can't recall who, but someone earlier made a comment about her acting like she was on benzos. IDK what that's like, personally, but if they Xanax'd her because of her nerves, maybe that's why? But yeah, for someone who's older, he's got some really impressive going power. Especially in a 3-on-1 fight. Damn.

Trump lost the first debate against Hillary decisively.

Trump was wild against Biden in the first debate.

Trump came out of this debate with domination and control.

Hillary had literally everything in her favor, from the media to the Hollywood elite celebrities. She had everything. It was scripted for her to win, it was destiny, and in any other timeline, she did win. I’m so happy it wasn’t this timeline.

Trump can still win against all odds. If he loses, it’s going to be because they cheat. It’s not a matter of if they cheat, it’s a matter of when. Sorry for the doomerism but they literally didn’t even control the government four years ago and pulled it off, what makes people think they won’t do it again. I didn’t vote in 2016 and 2020 because I thought Hillary would win in a foregone conclusion and so would Trump in 2020, but after witnessing the insane, blatant riggery first hand I know what’s really at stake this time around. MAKE IT TOO BIG TO RIG

Honestly wish they brought back Hillary. We needed a rematch.
