My point is that I am more focused on the eventual outcome than the way to get there. No matter which way it goes, the transition (lol) process to get there is guaranteed to be gruesome and barbaric. But do we have a choice in the matter?
I think if we actually do get to that point, we’re all fundamentally screwed. The ruling class won’t stop at mass-producing people in vats. That’s just one step on the road to eliminating natural reproduction entirely and artificially producing re-engineered, bespoke humans to carry out specific tasks. I foresee humanity splitting into castes, Brave New World style, where the upper crust enjoy elongated lifespans and enhanced intelligence, and the lower rungs are reduced to little more than indentured slaves; human-AI hybrid biomechanoid laborers paid in-kind with food and shelter, that have no libidinous urges, no particular desire for luxury, no need for a wage, no interest in a pension, and a limited lifespan that would keep them from collecting one even if it did exist. Picture Elysium, but where everyone who doesn’t live on the giant space station in mind-bending luxury is basically an unthinking, unfeeling Borg drone, a piece of obedient industrial equipment.
The ideological maneuvering to drive a political and psychological wedge between men and women is just the first step on a long road to a new kind of permanent techno-feudalism, where the advances of the Enlightenment are rolled back entirely, human rights cease to exist as a concept, and people are reduced to permanent serfdom. What is presently painted as women’s liberation will, in the end, constitute women’s obsoletion, aside from a tiny minority who will belong to immensely powerful dynastic families of permanent rentier manor lords that control all of the actual material wealth, and who will basically be obligated to be housewives and produce successive generations of oligarch children. The notion of a free woman, who is free in the same sense that an Enlightenment Everyman is free, is but a fleeting specter. A sandbar that will be washed away by the rising tide of biopolitical techno-tyranny. A small handful of women out there can see this state of affairs as it truly is, and they comprise the vanishingly small minority of hard-nosed libertarian women who see the writing on the wall.
The current political order is two-faced in the extreme. It speaks of a woman’s right to choose, and yet, it poisons the ones who do wish to reproduce with fertility-destroying toxins. Though some are
awake and aware, sadly, the majority of women, and a fair number of men, are simply too dull and conformist to even realize what is being done to them by the ruling class. Given that the world is run by rich anti-natalist maniacs, the female body will necessarily become a site of biopolitical repression; an nexus of fertility subjected to technocratic control. Women are particularly susceptible to this form of control because of two psychological metrics that are more pronounced in women than in men, which are agreeableness and conscientiousness.
Those may sound like virtues, but excessive agreeableness and conscientiousness are vices when certain kinds of people have them in excess. Female politicians make the perfect lap dogs of oligarchs specifically because they are more agreeable and less likely to have particular ambitions of their own that may contravene their masters’ objectives. If the entire world fell into the grip of a pack of Jacinda Ardern clones, it would be fucking doomed. The world
needs reckless, impulsive people dominated by passions, to counterbalance and foil the cold logic of technocrats. How many women do you know who pride themselves on being that sort of person? A heretic? A rebel? Very few, right? Most women seek safety in the collective above all else. They are born schoolmarms and rule-followers. That’s why they swell the ranks of every HR department and every HOA board.
That “consensus filter” is simply the result of excessive agreeableness and conscientiousness in a group of people. The gap between male and female psychology is a well-understood topic in behavioral science.
Research in the field of personality traits shows clear gender variations. For example, we know women score higher than men on personality traits such as agreeableness, openness to experience, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and extroversion. Women also commonly score higher on traits of anxiety and sympathy, while men tend to be more assertive and risk-taking. This distinction is of immense interest, especially given the changing nature of culture, and cultural representations of gender, across the globe.
Notice how the articles that make fun of Elon Musk citing that 4chan post don’t even tackle the question of whether or not women and weak-minded males are more conformist and collectivist. They don’t even tackle the issue of whether or not excessive, pathological conformism is a visible and obvious problem in society, or how it could lead to tyranny by the mechanism of conformist people passively nodding along with the elimination of human rights. They don’t consider how society might need nonconformist, uncompromising, unshakeable, ambitious, “toxic” people in positions of power to avert this. They just start with the axiom that more collectivism and cooperation is good, and any argument that calls this out is de facto wrong, and then they move on to ridicule and mockery. We see this tendency in our politics as a whole. Political candidates are lauded by the press for striving for “unity”, as opposed to the grumps and naysayers on the other side of the aisle who want to do their own thing. Euroskepticism is universally regarded by the media as evil, for instance.
How dare you disengage from our overbearing cunt klatch? They can’t seem to grasp the fact that their concept of “unity” is literally leading to us becoming the borg drone property of a small minority of rentiers, and the Devouring Mother archetype is helping to bring this reality to fruition, to dismantle the family unit and to enshrine the State as a universal parent to man.
The richest people on the planet do not like free markets, they don’t like regulation, and they don’t like political or economic competition, and this is why they like planting agreeable, conscientious, conformist women in lofty positions of power; because it means one more yes-man and one less competitor. The neoliberal/neocon blob consensus basically lets these arch-rentiers establish monopolies as they like, enclose the human commons, and scoop up vast tracts of land and assets to rent back to all of us later. The rights of the Enlightenment Man are founded on his access to property, on his ability to earn his own acreage and to be a free peasant. If all the world’s assets are in the grubby mitts of a small handful of private equity firms and holding companies, and they’re busy turning those lots into depressing commieblocks to house cyborg serfs eating cartridges of cricket powder slurry inserted into their neck holes, then where shall the Enlightenment Man make his nest?
When people speak of “toxic masculinity”, what they really mean is a man that is undersocialized, who has not yet been housebroken and domesticated and turned into an obedient pet. That‘s literally what it means. That is how they actually describe it.
Aggression and self-promotion were rewarded, while wealth boosted his sense of entitlement—a blueprint for raising a toxic man who controls others through aggression. Trump was raised to be loyal to himself and his family and aggressive to anyone with competing needs; his entitled upbringing and disordered personality produced an undersocialized aggressor who prefers conflict to cooperation. On a moment’s notice, he becomes a teenage bully tweeting insults.
Why do powerful oligarchs push the narrative of “toxic masculinity” being a problem? Because every male who isn’t “toxically masculine” is a male defused. It’s one less competitor for the wealthy and powerful to deal with. And women, complaining of feeling unsafe around possessive and aggressive males, will form coalitions with the uber-wealthy, to force oversocialization on as many men as possible, to neuter as many contenders for wealth and property as possible. In the world of the Davos Man, only a tiny handful of potent patriarchs can be allowed to exist. All others are upstarts, to be castrated, humiliated, and thrown away.
Why are we told to worry about “incels” all the time? Because the rich and powerful oligarchs know exactly what happens when substantial portions of young, military-age men in a country remain childless for an extended period of time. The result, historically speaking, is societal collapse. If society collapses, their assets become worthless, as do their plans to extract value from people by legalized counterfeiting and the usage of imaginary, phony, made-up financial instruments. This is why they’re busy importing so many third-worlders, who they hope will become pliant voters and obedient tax slaves. What they want is a class of people who prop up their value chains without ever complaining about their lot in life for any reason whatsoever, and, honestly, modern society gives people plenty of reason to complain. High living costs, increasing social isolation, creeping government surveillance, censorship, electoral fraud, armies of unelected bureaucrats telling us how we ought to live and eliminating desirable alternatives, rich Malthusians standing up in front of the UN and demanding an end to fossil fuel usage which will impoverish billions, and so on.
The Davos Man warns us all of how opposition to the United Nations and the European Union and other international bodies will lead us back to the bad old days of colonialism and warring empires, but he only says this because he wants to be the last colonial empire standing, and he wants the entire world and every human body in it to be his colony.
Why wouldn’t the endgame, in this standoff, be an Engineered Human? Like engineered lumber, but, you know. A person. A human-substitute. An Epsilon. A greasy slab of margarine shot through with electronics and drugs, that never whines that it isn’t getting enough pussy, never talks back to its oligarch masters, and doesn’t care that it doesn’t have any agency, autonomy, or humanity. A monstrous and misbegotten thing that doesn’t complain if it’s abused, because it is too stupid and servile to even comprehend what that would look like. A humanoid bio-borg that just shuts up, does as it is told, and gets with the program, no matter how insane or self-serving that program may be.
If we ever get around to building cloning vats, humans won’t walk out of them.
Those things will.
