I could literally see people spinning it if it was the other way around. MSM when Kamala is frowning "Kamala frowning is proof she is taking things seriously whereas Trump smiling means he doesn't take our country dying seriously."Pundits, even right-leaning ones, are saying Kamala smiling compared to Trump's frowning makes her more appealing to undecided voters. To me, it just makes her come off and condescending and elitist.
Like I said, even if Trump came across as unhinged are people going to vote for Kamala despite the fact that she hasn't state her plans to fix the country? In fact, her having the moderators speak for her just makes her come across as weak if anything.Trump needed to decidedly annihilate her, but that unfortunately did not happen until his closing statements. The moderators turned the ENTIRE debate into "Orange Man Bad" and put Trump on the defense for the majority of the debate, and I also believe that Trump took Harris' bait a couple of times when he shouldn't have.
Kamala needed to give a reason for people to vote FOR her and not just against Trump. She failed spectacularly at that, and while the moderators helped her dictate what the debate was about, they also hurt her because she did nothing to talk about why she's so great.
That is why I think they will have a second debate. Kamala couldn't land any lasting hits on Trump, because she's too retarded to do so. Trump needs to land some killing shots, too, because the 1 vs 3 debate yesterday didn't give him an opening until the last five minutes to do so. Realistically, both camps would have to WANT a second chance to accomplish their objectives, while I think Trump is much more eager to propose a second match. He'd be well advised to demand that as aggressively as possible, also to frame Kamala as a weak coward who flees her opponents in case she refuses.Trump needed to decidedly annihilate her, but that unfortunately did not happen until his closing statements.
What he needs to do is send unreasonable terms. Not even neutral ground anymore, in friendly conditions to him. It's a good strategy. Either she will chicken out, or she will accept and give a far worse performance under similar conditions as Trump went through. If a second debate does indeed happen, I don't see how Trump will do worse than yesterday. He already has everything he needs to paint himself as the "action man" with a solid plan (energy independence, cheaper healthcare, brinkmanship to defuse international crisis, etc).
i blame this on the network and format. ABC made this into a 3v1 circus with it mostly being trump vs moderators. Pressing trump too much while giving kamala a pass on her flip flops and not answering why she kept trump tarrifs really made this a wash as many people have said. Trump faltered at various points but kamala did a terrible job selling herself and explaining what her policies are.The reaction to this uninteresting debate has been interesting, haha.
I'm seeing a lot of Trump supporters talking about missed opportunities and how the moderators were insanely biased.
And I'm seeing a lot of Kamala supporters just focusing on how mean Trump is, and how he commanded the stage too much.
Generally speaking, neither side is acting like their candidate "won" the debate (and even when someone does say it, it's really not enthusiastic whatsoever). And, in my opinion, that isn't what the Harris campaign needed, which is why they are asking for another debate in October. A real winner wouldn't be immediately asking for that; they'd be resting on their laurels as they wait for their opponent to make the next move.
I haven't checked in on Baris in quite a while now, but I know Barnes has been making a fool of himself lately. Is Baris still reasonably insightful or has Barnes rubbed off on him?I get his point but if he bailed on the debate we'd be at the same place. Baris seems to think there was a win condition when in reality it's about securing the base. Trump was Trump and got some attacks in. They tried to killed him and they will cheat no matter what. They simply do not care if the population thinks it's legit.

I understand your position and I don't knock you for having it, but I think that a second debate would redound to Kamala's benefit. Trump doesn't need the killshot because he already has a slight edge. Kamala needs the killshot and, to be quite frank, the less people see of Trump right now the better. That is why I think they will have a second debate. Kamala couldn't land any lasting hits on Trump, because she's too retarded to do so. Personally I rate this debate as frustratingly inconclusive, much like a meeting engagement. Trump did hold his own, yes, true, but he was too busy with that and had to either wait or actively work hard towards an opening. That took too much time. However it gave Trump a reasonable measure of just how uncoordinated Kamala is, even with crushing amounts of support from her media auxilliaries. If a second debate does indeed happen, I don't see how Trump will do worse than yesterday. He already has everything he needs to paint himself as the "action man" with a solid plan (energy independence, cheaper healthcare, brinkmanship to defuse international crisis, etc).
A boy has the right to dream. Not sure why people expected Trump to annihilate Cumala. That has never happened in 8 years of his campaign and Biden was exception to the rule.
Millenials remember Cheney. He was either the evil emperor behind the retard Bush or the evil emperor responsible for the bad things that happened under the good intention Dubya. There are a few retards who dont remember the ages of 10 to 20 but who gives a fuck about them. The popular culture undercurrent was full of his connections to Haliburton and how he started Iraq to get rich and that he was the real power behind the Dubya throne. There's definitely millennials who won't really remember Cheney. In most countries young adult is anyone under 40, so there's a pretty wide net there. Sort of depends on how late you consider someone a millennial, there's a bit of debate on ending with 1998 or 2000 as birth years. I definitely wouldn't expect many people who were only like 10 when he vacated to remember anything that Cheney ever said or did.
Also tbh, VPs are quite easy to forget about. I forgot all about Biden for a while and that sucker only left in 2017.
How the fuck is there an even split?Speaking of polling, You Gov has Trump tied nationally. Note these are one of the friendliest dem pollsters in the business.

Yeah, he could present her several choices for a second match:What he needs to do is send unreasonable terms. Not even neutral ground anymore, in friendly conditions to him. It's a good strategy. You must have missed the Clinton debates. Not sure why people expected Trump to annihilate Cumala. That has never happened in 8 years of his campaign and Biden was exception to the rule.
Clinton debates Trump's lost generally. You must have missed the Clinton debates.
Because any system ends with such people in charge anyway.Youre basically saying the election is decided by the most ignorant, dull, and misinformed people.
Why is democracy valid again?
True to an extend, the thing from my perspective however is that Trump needs to grill Kamala over the fact that she doesn't have a plan, at all. Sure, he can lean back and let things unfold, but that also carries the risk that he can't influence that for his own benefit. Relying on the (D)s being too stupid to figure that out is a risky plan, imho.I understand your position and I don't knock you for having it, but I think that a second debate would redound to Kamala's benefit. Trump doesn't need the killshot because he already has a slight edge. Kamala needs the killshot and, to be quite frank, the less people see of Trump right now the better.
What killed Trump in 2020 was that he couldn't shut the fuck up and stay out of his own way. He slapped Kamala and the moderators around in his inimitable way. That's enough.
If Trump does the next debate, he needs to be Michael Myers Trump (from Halloween, not Austin Powers): psychopath quiet, like he was in the Biden debate.
I think the Farms getting political is retarded. A&N is a subforum for a reason, I like the website as a whole. My only issue with Null is that he actually can be a very good interviewer when talking to people, but can get in his own way with text.it is unfortunate. josh is in a unique spot to be the change the so desperately wants to be. maybe one day he will see the gold mine and level of influence he could have at the farms if he just tweaked his mind set about politics.
josh you have 1,000s of people coming to your site every day to just discuses politics. i would be willing to bet there are some people who visit the farms who are in a position to make change but josh just wants nothing to do with us retards.
i wonder if the LOLCows get more daily traffic than the A&N forums. speaking for myself, i almost never check the lol sections of the site. i just don't care, beyond 10 minutes here or there about those idiots.
He has gone twice to Dem biased. Fox is actually neutral sense they are Rino country. No chance Kamaltoe would agree to debate on Fox.
