Also, I think part of the value of a more active shay thread would be not having conversation about other shayverse characters sequestered in a secret board. Like, I would really love a more active space to talk about Grandma Gregory and her spanking industrial complex.

There's a thread, but it's generally pretty dead, so I thought I'd put out feelers in this thread to see if anyone is interested in discussing hashtag real recovery queens (hopefully without the "BMI 3 is still REALLY FAT!" discussions that plague LCF).

This is not the best forum for shay and I don't think her thread will have a lot of traction but for archiving purposes it's great.

I just agree with the other nonas that moids always ruin the fun and come in and belive 100% with their scrote brains they could fix whoever being discussed.

I have been using the Save Page WE extension for this after clicking the expand all images link in threads, but it's kind of shaky/claims it fails to save certain "resources" which I don't really get. But it is nice enough when it works because it crawls through the page giving you a higher chance of catching loaded images and saving you the work of doing it yourself. Does anyone have other/better ideas though? I've been confused about webpage archiving because it seems like the methods I've used don't capture the full page functionality (like post highlighting on number mouseover) for reasons I don't really understand.

A lot of farmers in the /shelter/ thread especially were very resentful of me screencapping their posts, as if we were planning to raid them. KF does not raid. The reason I took so many screencaps and these archives was because one day I fear LCF is going to vanish suddenly and I wanted to preserve at least this little bit of lolcor history. The diaspora of the past two weeks has been fascinating but I'm glad things are back to normal.
