US Springfield resident claims Haitian migrants are 'decapitating and eating ducks in the park' as Ohio town rages over explosion of migrants - Line go up. Nation of Immigrants. Diversity is our Strength. Jobs Americans Won't Do. Blah blah blah.

A Springfield, Ohio, resident has claimed that Haitian migrants have been decapitating ducks in public parks and eating them.

The aggrieved man made the claim during a city commission meeting last month to address the influx of legal Haitian immigrants - which has revitalized the local economy, but also sparked controversy among locals.

'I really challenge you guys to get out here and do something,' he told the meeting.

'These Haitians are running into trash cans, running into buildings... they're flipping cars in the middle of the streets...'

The man added: 'They're in the park, grabbing up ducks by their neck, and cutting their head off and walking off with them. They're eating them.'

DailyMail.com has reached out to the Springfield police department and the commissioner's office for comment on the unconfirmed claim.

Springfield, Ohio, has become a flashpoint in the debate over immigration, after droves of Haitian migrants arrived in the city in 2020 to fill jobs vacancies.

Willing to do the blue-collar jobs locals were unenthusiastic about, the Haitians, who were already in the country legally, moved to the town
.

Within a few years, 20,000 immigrants arrived, swelling Springfield's population, which was only 58,000 in 2020.

The Haitians had social security numbers and job permits, paid taxes, and lived in houses that were empty and boarded up as the town shrank.

However, their arrival put a strain on medical services and the education system.

'I think it's sad that some people are using this as an opportunity to spread hate or spread fear,' deputy director of public safety and operations Jason Via told NPR.

'We get these reports "the Haitians are killing ducks in a lot of our parks" or "the Haitians are eating vegetables right out of the aisle at the grocery store."

'And we haven't really seen any of that. It's really frustrating. As a community, it's not helpful as we try to move forward.'

Having filled empty homes, later arrivals also contributed to a housing crisis egged on by landlords prioritizing immigrants who would pay more, instead of low-income locals on government subsidies.

Bubbling tensions overflowed after a school bus crash caused by a Haitian immigrant veering into the wrong lane killed Aiden Clark, 11, on August 22 last year.

During the meeting with commissioners, a local woman pleaded with local officials to make some changes, after revealing that she is being driven out of her home of 45 years because of migrant activity.

'I'm done with what I'm seeing,' the woman said in a voice trembling with emotion. 'It is so unsafe in my neighborhood anymore.'

The resident, who gripped the sides of the lectern as she spoke, continued: 'I have the homeless that were trying to camp out, and I have made concessions with them.'

She said that she 'tried to help' these individuals, so that they would not try to 'squat' on her property.

'It is so unsafe,' she lamented. 'I have men that cannot speak English in my front yard screaming at me, throwing mattresses...[and] throwing trash in my front yard.'

'Look at me,' the unhappy resident said, gesturing toward herself. 'I weigh 95 pounds. I couldn't defend myself if I had to.'

Because of her fears, the woman revealed that her 'elderly' husband had decided that they would leave their home of 45 years.

I like this painting. It represents the dutch government protecting the Netherlands from their foreign adversaries like Spain and France at the time.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is sending resources to Springfield. Situation in the city may perhaps improve a little bit, at least temporarily.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine is sending troopers, $2.5M to Springfield — city facing surge of Haitian migrants

The governor of Ohio will send law enforcement and millions of dollars in health care resources to the city of Springfield as it faces a surge in temporary Haitian migrants that has landed it in the national spotlight.

Republican Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said Tuesday he doesn’t oppose the Temporary Protected Status program under which some 15,000 Haitians have arrived in the city of about 59,000 people since 2020, but said the federal government must do more to help impacted communities.

His news conference was held just hours before the presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, where the divide over immigration policy was sure to be an issue.

On Monday, Republican Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost also drew attention to the crisis when he directed his office to research legal avenues — including filing a lawsuit — to stop the federal government from sending “an unlimited number of migrants to Ohio communities.”

Thousands of temporary Haitian migrants have landed in the city in recent years, as longstanding unrest in their home country has given way to violent gangs ruling the streets.

Ohio has already provided additional resources to Springfield to help with education and training for drivers, to pay for more vaccines and health screenings in schools, and to enhance translation services, explained DeWine. But he’s taking additional action.

“These dramatic surges impact every citizen of the community, every citizen,” he said, noting additional influxes are occurring in Findlay and Lima, Ohio. “Moms who have to wait hours in a waiting room with a sick child, everyone who drives on the streets, and it affects children who go to school in more crowded classrooms.”

On Wednesday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be dispatched to help local law enforcement with traffic issues that officials say have cropped up due to an increase in Haitians unfamiliar with US traffic laws using the roads. DeWine said he is also earmarking $2.5 million over two years to provide more primary health care through the county health department and private health care institutions.

DeWine’s family operates a charity in Haiti in honor of their late daughter, Becky, who died in a car accident. He said the Haitians who have moved to Ohio are generally hard-working people who love their families and who are seeking to escape the violence in their home country for good jobs in Ohio.

I just want to add that respect of nature was a huge part of Nazi beliefs and animals had a huge amount of rights under their laws.
Human groups not so much, but Himmler cried openly when he saw a deer hunted and taken down, and consequently made laws against hunting.

For the brown white supremacists in this thread, loving and respecting and taking care and giving rights to animals is based.

Sufficiently advanced societies enact stewardship over wildlife not because it's "useful" but because being a steward is what civilized, human people do. We care for nature and respect it. We allow hunting in moderation, cultivation and harvesting in a thoughtful, methodical way, not merely raping the land until it is barren. We slaughter animals thoughtfully, not with brutality or callousness.
The reactions to these events in Ohio have taught me that many, many Americans, even some on the right, are just Haitians who happened to be born a little to the north.

A lot of people in Ohio hunt, but they hunt correctly and fairly and legally.
Hunting is so common that it’s becoming trendy with zoomers to wear oversized hunting camo (with the leaves) around there judging from pictures.

This isn’t a pushback against hunting which is a way of life there, this is about it not being sporting because the sweet dumb geese don’t know to register humans as an ultra threat, so it’s easy to get close to them.

And ducks?? They have next to no woodland ducks left, there are heron and egret and loons in certain areas.
There used to be white ducks with orange beaks with curly tails everywhere, they’re gone.
Only once in my life did I see a goose that looked like something out of a children’s book, white and tall with ann orange beak.

Apparently that’s mostly the fault of the Canadian geese pushing them all out, but ecosystems are complicated and the answer isn’t to initiate total goose death and eat them in the park like some kind of bath salts addict.

Don't worry, guys. Sky News has totally deboonked these claims!

Totally nothing to see here. These Haitians are just good behaving dindus.

A friendly reminder that these types of "Fact Checkers" are journalists and deserve the Rope.

You could have video of a migrant stealing, killing, and taking a dog into their home but still these "fact checkers" will rate it FALSE as they will say that there is no proof the dog was eaten.

Even if it was proven at trial that the migrant ate a dog, these fact checkers will still double down by saying that at the time of the fact check their was no evidence the dog was eaten.

I know that sounds crazy but that was their reason in one of their "fact checks":
Editor's note:Prosecutors revealed Jan. 5, 2021, that Jacob Blake was armed with a “razor blade-type knife" when he was shot by police...That does not affect the rating for this item; ratings are based on what is known at the time. When this statement was made in August 2020, it was not clear what Blake was holding or when, given the grainy cell phone video and lack of detail released by police.
Case in point, fact checkers deserve the Rope and you should not feel sorry for the execution of these journalists as the are not human.

Did you know geese usually mate for life and are capable of mourning the loss of their partner and their eggs?
This puts them leagues beyond the average consooomer in terms of moral development.
The reactions to these events in Ohio have taught me that many, many Americans, even some on the right, are just Haitians who happened to be born a little to the north.
It's consoomerism, plain and simple. For these savages, everything is about "what good does it do for ME, right now, to satisfy my animal urges in this moment?"

More on the ground reports coming in:

TPUSA has reporters out there too.

Springfield OH: 22-year-old Haitian migrant men are reportedly being enrolled as freshmen in high school. Grandparents are concerned about the safety of their granddaughter who is starting high school this year.

Springfield, OH: Woman shares at a city council meeting on Tuesday night that her mother-in-law was struck and killed by a car driven by a Haitian migrant in December.

They would want forensic analysis of the migrants' scat to prove it, and then they'd just hire an "expert" who pretended not to see the fur in the sample.

I caught a bit of the news at a gas station and they said that Springfield was a town of 60,000 before 15,000 Hatians were relocated there.
There's no way that's true right? Did the city just allow being made 1/5 third world overnight?
It is doubtful that the residents of the city had much say in the matter at all and considering this is all started in 2020, the number of Haitians in the city got there gradually and not all at once so it's an issue that has grown in scale over time. Clearly Springfield, Ohio was deemed a good dropping off spot by some kind of entity working with the government under the Temporary Protected Status program and never stopped sending people which is how we got here today.

It isn't true. The official number is actually 59,000 residents and 20,000 Hattians.

I also want to point out that Springfield was a town in jeopardy before all this, the jobs left and the opiates and meth moved in, crime soared.
Not that everyone from Springfield is bad, but every person I’ve met from there has some crazy story like getting robbed at gunpoint or their car broken into for spare change and a bag of groceries.
It’s economically depressed without thousands of Haitians added in.

This is absolutely NOT a town that can afford more crime and societal breakdown.

If you really wanted to look into who might be locally responsible the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services does have a list of Refugee Resettlement Agencies on their website.
