He absolutely knows Luffy if 2.0. Just likely cares more about the previous Joy Boy because they were the one that directly stopped them on Egghead via the Haki.

Like seriously without any of the old gen leaving stuff behind for Luffy, Luffy is a non issue. So Imu is naturally more concerned with making sure he does not have that help.

I’m absolutely betting Imu was straight up the complete package of immortaly and mind swap.

And the reason Joy Boy got involved was because Imu stole his or Lili’s friend’s identity.

There is absolutely going to be Alabasta trickery going on.

I thought the only reason Imu kept tabs on Luffy was because of D initial. And the straw hat.

If Imu knows that Luffy is Joy Boy 2.0, the rebirth of an arch enemy, wouldn’t the Gorosei be told about this?

They were? Saturn straight up called Luffy Nikka and they said the fruit hasn’t Awakened in 800 years.

The Elders were also the ones that ordered Luffy be killed during Roof Piece and then were fumming that the papers somehow got a printed Luffy’s bounty post in his Nikka form (still trying to wrap my head around how they got that in a walled off country)

So they knew. And considering how dumb the Elders are it’s also possible they caused Luffy to Awaken on the roof.

But then they might have also thought ‘if he dies, we’ll lose the Fruit in Wano. Fuck, can you imagine Sun God Kaido with Pluton. That would be way worse!’

There are like, 30 people with the D initial that we know of, and it's not that hard to make a straw hat, even if everyone important wears one.

There are 13 known D’s, and that number was 10 for the last decade (and that number was 8 for the decade prior).

Well, that was a dense catchup chapter. I have a hard time gauging Shanks, he's super friendly sometimes and stupidly savage in others. Also means Bart is out for the count outside of an epilogue party or enough time for a Straw Hat grand fleet to come up. The blackbeard stuff is pure kino, nice to see all of his little plots are moving and maturing and wonder what he expects Laffite to do with the revolutionaries. Poor Pudding seems will be Teach's bed warmer for a while as well.

Finally, what in the name of fuck happened to Nami and the rest? And seems like another excuse to split up the Mugis, though only the Alabasta defense force block is missing. Also, special note on how adorable Bonney is between being on Kuma's lap or tugging at Jinbei's kimono.

1)Bartolomeo needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a Time Machine.
2)Whenever Bartolomeo is not on-screen, other characters should be asking “Where’s Bartolomeo?”
It’s obvious at this point that Shanks destroys enemy ships as a show if force, but said ships are going to be revealed as unoccupied. Barto Club and the Kidd Pirates are going to turn up just fine in Oda’s standard splash reveal panels.

Also, that was clearly Diamante’s Devil Fruit at Hachinosu

I think it was made pretty clear in this chapter: Shanks has a reputation to uphold and he’s doing what needs to be done to keep his image intact. I also have to wonder if the idea is that when Shanks finally faces Luffy, it’s a matter of their main crews with no outside help so Shanks is doing his part to remove the outside forces.

I’m assuming Garp is going to be held for ransom to get whatever it is he wants or be executed and displayed as a trophy, probably to show off (again) he’s just Luffy if Straw Hat was evil.

Honestly, I think Blackbeard is just trying to bait anyone and everyone to fight him, and Pudding by his side would attract Sanji, and by extension, Luffy.

Maybe they got caught in the whirlpool of the ship made by burn scar man. Which got them to Elbaf faster, considering Nami’s outfit.

I think it's a more simple "they have non devil fruit users, put some bandages and got better" because it's pretty clear the Kidd and Barto pirates took a dip in the sea there. But no, I don't expect Shanks to suddenly have a kill count when even fucking Crocodile or Enel don't have a direct one.

And don't you mean Pica? Pizarro's fruit just seems like Pica's but better I guess. Was looking in the background if anything reminded me of the flag flag fruit, but didn't see anything.

I think Garp is related to fucking with the marines and Pudding is there for her possible ability to read Phoneglyphs, Sanji never entered the equation (but I love Pudding, so, you won't see me complaining that she is still part of the story). That both would make Luffy's piss boil it's just a nice bonus. Bigger question is what he will do with Caribou's information, will he head straight to wano and merman island to get Pluto and Poseidon? And still wondering what the plan with Laffite is

Nami also has a sword amusingly enough, what I'm wondering is if she was forcefully dressed up and why, specially when the setting is a lego playset. For all we know it's just the toys of an Elbaf kid and they are crashing with the family after arriving early as a huge fake out, though I doubt it.

@ShitLurker I’m totally down with the idea of Nami and company being in the playset of a giant’s kid (and Sanji would be in a dollhouse because of course he would.)

As for Blackbeard, I really think those moves you mentioned would be more of an endgame thing, since it’d be attacking places Luffy put under his protection. Along with going after Poseidon meaning having to revisit Joy Boy’s promise. And it’d probably payoff Blackbeard not being the one Roger is waiting for, while Luffy is.

Random question, do we have an actual headcount of how many flashbacks we've had throughout One Piece? I counted 28 off the top of my head, and I know I'm missing others.
