Who is UrbanSPOOK?

UrbanSPOOK or UrbanSLUG as he calls himself, is a artist based in Sweden who made a Analog Horror Series called 'The Painter' which is now infamous a long with the creator. Here is one of his videos to give you an example.



Before UrbanSPOOK​
Before UrbanSPOOK, there is a channel called UrbanSLUG. UrbanSLUG's content mainly started off with some really creepy / weird animations here is some of his videos to give you an example as to why they're creepy.

Regardless on your defense seeing as these were probably made when he was young, and were made during the Newgrounds era. It was pretty reasonable as to why people think UrbanSPOOK is suspicious considering that he made these.

There is also the DARKurbanSOULS channel which is basically just a Dark Souls channel considering that he is a fan of the series. Here are some of videos to give you an example of this type of content.

What makes UrbanSPOOK a Lolcow?​
Well its mainly due to his rage bait tweets and his weird posts

To give you some context on what the drama was about we need to give you some context on who pastraspec is. Pastraspec is a Horror YouTuber and Analog Horror creator that is very well liked in both the Mascot Horror Community and in the Analog Horror Community. On September 14th, 2023 Pastraspec would make a tweet basically telling people to stop praising UrbanSPOOK just because he simply didn't like it.

This would cause UrbanSPOOK to make a tweet that would made the analog horror community fucking despise him. He would later on that same day make this tweet. The original has been deleted but he would make the same copy pasta tweet on other peoples replies as a joke.

Fucktoy Cory Controversy

On January 10th, 2023, UrbanSPOOK released this video called "IN THE WALLS". In this video the police describe both Cory Beck who is 11 years old and Margaret Beck who is also 11 years old were killed in a factory and described that both their torso's were removed and they were stitched together, and Cory's genitals were forcefully removed.
In the first episode there was a painting that is a clear reference to Cory Beck.

But the controversy doesn't end here. UrbanSPOOK has merch where can buy the "Fucktoy Cory" shirt. The shirt has unfortunately been deleted (As far as I'm aware). UrbanSPOOK's defense is that he made the Cory art before the series which is true, If you look at his Instagram page the Cory image that he shared was posted on October 25th, 2022 for a "Inktober" event, and the first episode came out November 3rd, 2022.

PIGS Controversy

On April 28th, 2023, UrbanSPOOK released a new episode called "PIGS". This video would cause a bit of controversy considering that one of the victims named 'Mae' was raped by a horse and the horse died "due to sildenafil overdose". This would later get people on Xitter really offended about this episode.

It is also worth mentioning that UrbanSPOOK would make very obvious and unfunny rage bait tweets on Xitter for attention. He even admitted this.

One thing worth mentioning before we move on to his detractors is that he has a reddit server called r/UrbanSPOOK where his fans would post something that could be Lolcow worthy so consider the r/UrbanSPOOK server to be a Person of Interest.

What makes UrbanSPOOK's Detractors / UDS's Lolcows​
Well its mainly due to how much they do / say a bunch of crazy shit. And people are still shitting on UrbanSPOOK to this day and he hasn't uploaded a video in 11 months. Remember all of this because he said "autistic furry horror" to some popular YouTuber. Even when the drama with pastraspec and UrbanSPOOK was over.

Not only has UrbanSPOOK basically gotten harassed. But his fanbase is also getting the same treatment. Someone on the r/UrbanSPOOK reddit server made a post asking why people who hate UrbanSPOOK are stalking the server.

Then when UrbanSPOOK released his new video "MEAT" people would flood the comments basically saying that his series is ass. The premire was also delayed mainly due to YouTube's guidelines but half of me thinks that the people mass reported the premire so it can get removed.

Not only that but when this thread was created, mods from the r/analoghorror made a rule for people who sperg about UrbanSPOOK. Imagine sperging about UrbanSPOOK so much to the point where the mods get annoyed at you. :story:

While I think that both Urbanspook and the community that has a near deranged obsession with hating his content have the potential to become lolcows due to their immense uncontrolled autism, at the moment there isn't much milk to be made from either sides. I'll be here waiting for something good to actually come from this. :)

Even though I think the endless uproar Urbanspook caused is hilarious, people were kissing his ass too hard in the YouTube horror thread. Beyond the low hanging fruit all of the zoomies are shitting themselves over there's nothing special about his series. The artwork is just OK and the format is a carbon copy of every other zoomer analog horror series.

That's fine you don't have to like the series. I personally think the series is okay its not bad but its not good either. However people with USDS think its the Anti Christ which I personally find it funny.

He did say that that post was rage bait. But I heavily doubt that mainly due to whenever he explains it the subject changes. It goes to "Oh I was referring to FNaF" to "It was to bait Pastra and he fell for it".

I've seen this guy a couple of times in the recommended section on Youtube with the title "The Worst Analog series in Youtube". But never bothered to actually watch it. Ever since Mandela Catalogue jumped the shark in episode 4 and all the hoopla with the controversy by the creator and a very good FNAF analog series going into the shitter because the creator was an incestuous pedophile, I lost all interest in the analog horror community.

Never knew that the guy such an edgy sperg, and have a group of autists hate him for the wrong reasons. Lol Maybe I'll have this on watch, just to see if anything interesting comes out.

I'll add a few small things because I have been way too autistically invested in this drama (sourced from the YT Horror Channels Thread.):
-US's last upload was 11 months ago, and people are still making hate videos.
-Analog Horror zoomers like to call US' work and other violent edgy horrors "convervative horror" because.... orange man? No hot serial killers/animatronic animals to ship? I don't know.
-Alex Kister had a particular hateboner for US and liked a tweet implying US was a pedophile. Lol.

-Even Wendigoon had a kinda shitty fence-sitting take on US, in his video: The Best & Worst of Analog Horror: GREYLOCK vs UrbanSPOOK - Scary vs Disturbing. Because some people like scary things but not disturbing things, you gotta understand US. Brb let me explain Blood Meridian and manifestos.

US responded to Wendigoon explaining what his intention with the series was, tldr an 18+ series to showcase his art. Wendigoon responded politely in turn, fair play to him. The comment section of the video was a warzone, though.
