They only care and worry about "slop" if it's done by a controversial creator. Everyone in this slap fight's in the wrong. This could've all been handled better for both sides but, I'm being too for this community that's beyond repairing.

I don't really have a super strong opinion on Urbanspook. I think analog horror in general is really gay, but I do like some of his art.

There's a lot of rumors that he uses AI to make his stuff, which I don't think is true and is more likely people just trying to find ways to shit on him.

I agree. I think a general Analog Horror Derangement Syndrome thread would have a lot more milk to work with compared to USDS. I can't remember not seeing an Analog Horror creator handle a situation maturely. The community itself likes getting into fights because they have very distorted views on what they perceive as moral and acceptable. By distorted, I mean, "It's not safe edgy and something I can make into a gay fanfic. Therefore, it's bad, problematic, and should be cancelled indefinitely."

I think that can be easy yes. However the issue that I have is that there really isn’t that much drama or controversy that isn’t UrbanSPOOK. The only time I can re call drama outside of UrbanSPOOK would be the Alex Kister drama but that’s it. If there were a “Analog Horror Derangement Syndrome” thread most if not all posts would just be people hating on UrbanSPOOK 24/7.

There are plenty of edgy, "disturbing" pedo-themed horror stories in the creepypasta market. US's responses are why people engage with him like this. Urban spook might be all style, no substance. Sure. But that's fine if you enjoy shock horror. It's found a niche and can fill it.

I do like some of his art.

I quite like his art and the little videos around it. I know it's just edgy shock horror, but I like a bit of edge sometimes. Why can't there be a YT channel that caters to that?

I think the issue is also that Urbanspook is Swedish and this type of horror art caters to the northern Euro horror and metal music sensibilities, Sweden, Norway, Finland and even Germany had pretty hardcore horror fiction when I was growing up, even for teens. Very culturally different from the Anglosphere.
