Yeah the original story was an edgy 13 year olds revenge fantasy against their middle school bulliesFujos didn't ruin Jeff the Killer, Jeff the Killer was never good.
The mystery surrounding the image's origins (and its variations) is more interesting than the shitty creepypasta. The problem with Jeff the killer was the bad story attached to the original picture.
Sometimes scary pictures should just stay that, pictures. The mystery surrounding the image's origins (and its variations) are more interesting than the shitty creepypasta.
Continuing from here, this can be applied to most creepypastas, really. An example is the MARIO creepypasta: the interesting part was the ROM and its hidden contents, not the story. The mystery surrounding the image's origins (and its variations) is more interesting than the shitty creepypasta.
That and, from what I understand, the "story" was actually real. A guy found a real life horror-themed Mario romhack and decided to make a thread about it.Continuing from here, this can be applied to most creepypastas, really. Deadass I wanna see someone put in the effort in making either a bootleg kids DVD or VHS tape, then creating something akin to this, slapping a normal cover on it like nothing out of the ordinary. It's not so scary obviously for an adult but imagine a kid coming across it unexpectedly. I know not many kids nowadays watch anything on DVDs, especially not VHS, but I know some do.This is neat.
A true and honest dvd-media-autist just posted a Max and Ruby creepypasta video. It's very well done.
Fujos has nothing to do with the sheer amount of predatory troons tho, that's a pooner thing.I can't confirm it but I blame the fujo culture that used to surround creepypastas.
Haven't sperged about it in awhile but I hope someone takes the concept of Mario Nights and makes a good romhack. Slime's story got some coverage again on a super small channel but maybe it'll inspire someone. Just tone down some of the more graphic ideas and it would be a fun creepy Mario game.Continuing from here, this can be applied to most creepypastas, really. I'm pretty sure the thread was created as a vehicle to promote the romhack which the guy created himself. That and, from what I understand, the "story" was actually real. A guy found a real life horror-themed Mario romhack and decided to make a thread about it.
Exactly, the guy made a thread about the ROM and it started from there. That and, from what I understand, the "story" was actually real. A guy found a real life horror-themed Mario romhack and decided to make a thread about it.
I would be interested in something similar to Mario Nights, too bad that the original Youtube channel got deleted: the other videos were bizarre.Haven't sperged about it in awhile but I hope someone takes the concept of Mario Nights and makes a good romhack. Slime's story got some coverage again on a super small channel but maybe it'll inspire someone. Just tone down some of the more graphic ideas and it would be a fun creepy Mario game.
Either way it was interesting, and unlike Ben Drowned you could actually play the romhack, which was a huge bonus.I'm pretty sure the thread was created as a vehicle to promote the romhack which the guy created himself.
I feel this way about listening to old creepypastas a lot of online horror nowadays is missing soul say what you want about creepypastas but even the worst ones had some soul to them I'll watch an analog horror and take nothing away from it and probably forget it by tomorrow, which is something I can't say about classic creepypastas because I can tell the person writing them is having some fun.The characters and stories took a life of their own
I guess it depends on what you would consider a classic, but I remember a lot of trash coming out of the golden age of creepypastas.I feel this way about listening to old creepypastas a lot of online horror nowadays is missing soul say what you want about creepypastas but even the worst ones had some soul to them I'll watch an analog horror and take nothing away from it and probably forget it by tomorrow, which is something I can't say about classic creepypastas because I can tell the person writing them is having some fun.
I'm using classic in a time sense so anything from 2009 to 2013 would be classicI guess it depends on what you would consider a classic, but I remember a lot of trash coming out of the golden age of creepypastas.

Should we have a UrbanSPOOK Derangement Syndrome Lolcow thread?
- Yes
- No
The exact kind of people you think still use it.Who still says piss baby?
Definitely agree with this one - the actual story itself gives a fair stab at trying to have a bit of depth, but all it really boils down to is "Mario did something bad! OoOoH SPOOKY!!", but the mystery surrounding the ROM file, the person who uploaded it, and the origin of the 'Victim #1' image was a very fun mystery to follow.Continuing from here, this can be applied to most creepypastas, really.
