But to go back to the debates, do people even remember anything specific that Kamala said a few days later? Everyone remembers the cat thing, and now telegram is full of Trump cat memes. I asked some non-partisan people to rate Kamala's performance and no one could recall any details of it. It seems Kamala has committed the greatest sin a public figure could ever do in 2024, being bland, dull, and immemorable.

I think this debate doesn't matter. We got a Kamala who didn't trip over herself and a Trump that she managed to distract long enough to avoid many targeted attacks. This will be forgotten, and it won't matter. Neither candidate did well enough to destroy the other. More importantly, everyone already knows everything about Trump, and nothing was learned about Kamala. Any undecided voters are still undecided for the same reasons they were undecided prior to the debate.

Pretty much. The only new thing that came out of the debate was thrusting the "ALIENS EAT CATS" meme into the public's awareness. Nobody really won, but Trump successfully used the debate as a platform to spread his message, while Kamala didn't.

That and a Human v Human is at least a fight or can talk or get help. Cats/Dogs or any animal really have no real way to defend themselves. Especially a domesticated animal that has grown to trust humans.
Most people see animals like children in a way where if we saw a kid about to get wrecked most people would say something or do something to prevent them from getting hurt.
