Well, tomorrow is the Joon thing, which I feel will be a nothingburger for one reason: Joon wants out of this ASAP. Can you blame him? He probably gets spammed daily by Doody and other retards who want him to "expose" Phil, so I feel like he'll just go "yeah Phil, I don't agree with you on that but ok" or "yeah thanks for clarifying that I guess".

He has to be exhausted with Phil and will just want this to be over rather than continue being a hero for detractors. As he said, Phil lives in a cycle, so I don't see this going anywhere. The only way this gets interesting is if Phil goes retarded and tries to get an apology out of Joon like he did with Craig, then I can see Joon pushing back.

Anyhow, I hope I'm wrong. Morale is already down after the streak ended so Phil may not be as combative as he was with Craig.

I think SmugsydePhil is still in full effective, he really believes having two friends makes him the most popular guy on the internet and he can dunk on anyone he wants. I think he holds a bigger grudge towards Joon than he did Craig, if for no other reason than the documentary is much fresher in his mind.

I do agree with Joon wanting to get it over with, it never seemed like he wanted to get into the autism vortex. IIRC, he was only doing the Phil documentary because his fans voted for it as opposed to being a passionate detractor that wanted to expose Phil. It did seem like he was becoming more antagonistic towards Phil as the documentary went on, but there's a good chance those feelings have mostly petered out since it was released. He's also already been working on another documentary since then so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of his Phil-related knowledge has been dulled. I don't think it'll be quite as spectacular as the Craig interview was, but I'm definitely expecting more than the Keem interview. And I think there's a good chance we get another rage quit from Phil.

I agree with Joon not wanting to linger here (it's tough, our lives are tough) but I'm holding out hope that the Sisyphean nightmare of trying to fact check anything against Phil, especially after the WWEC confession, along with Phil generally levying the same retarded criticisms he does at anyone who's got a problem with him at Joon might make Joon raise his flat monotone speaking voice to a terrifying dull roar.

There's nothing quite so satisfying as watching Phil burn another bridge because he is unwilling to look inward and acknowledge that every failure in his life has had him in a starring role. Typical alkie brain.

Someone that isn't used to dealing with the vortex, yes, it can be. Phil is exhausting JUST to be around - even Sir Craig mentioned it after they were done interviewing him the first time: "We were exhausted...and I'm sorry that I didn't check my e-mail for 23 hours." I can't imagine even dealing with the piece of shit for anything longer than a Memeology clip, hell, I still wonder how the hell Josh Poems deals with listening to him. I know a lot of detractors have their own personal or professional Phil's in their lives, hell, we've all worked with someone like Phil or are related to someone like Phil, however, we know not to get too overly invested into the snortex and just learn to laugh at the circus.

That said, I agree that the whole Joon thing is gonna be a nothingburger. Joon did the world a favor by updating the Down The Rabbit Hole documentary, same with Turkey Tom, so, pick your poison.

Joon said what he had to say, he wants out. I don't blame him and I say if he does, let the man be.

The funny thing is he adressed this last year during on eof his SF 6 cope sessions. He literally said "I hate it when my opponents get up close in my face". So in essence, if you put pressure on him, he breaks. And when he breaks the excuses come flying "Can't block! Can't do anything! Why is my move not coming out?? I am not doing anything! Every move is a counterhit!"

Seeing as Phil has approached each interview so far with a very specific goal in mind (Null- close the thread, Keem- admit Lolcow Live is scripted, Craig- Apologize), I'm betting he's going to try and get Joon to admit that there's a possibility DFTR isn't him (anymore). If Joon is as exhausted as he sounds, we'll end up with a very boring outing- Phil will hit Joon with a ton of semi-related material, Joon will sigh and say "I guess that could be true" and Phil will declare this to be an exoneration every time it comes up in the future.

However, considering how Joon's opinion soured significantly during the making of the doc, there is a very funny timeline where he simply calls Phil a liar and a scammer and refutes all evidence by saying "You have zero credibility and all my research says it's impossible you aren't DFTR".
