I stumbled upon NLO in 2006 after seeing a flash cartoon that featured a clip of the show. I listened to the podcast regularly for a few years as a kid and remember it being hilarious back then. I think around the time he moved to LA in 2009 was when I stopped listening.

It's probably rose-tinted glasses, but to see the state of this man today nearly twenty years later is just depressing. Patrick pioneered many aspects of comedy podcasts himself and inspired alot of other comics to get into it, either directly or tangentially. I hadn't heard or thought of him in years, and didn't know that his "comedy career" today mostly consisted of A-logging a failed midwestern radio host for 3 hours a day while making jokes about wanting to use the his daughter as a "cupholder."

He is now just an aged-out "Internet personality" who is clinging to whatever is remotely viable for him to make his rent payments to his notwife. His channel views were in the bottom of the sewer for years until he covered Imholte, and he is a pariah in the comedy community. He's a bitter relic of a bygone era, a time when he was seemingly the only comedian that could use a computer to put content on the Internet.
