It's complicated. Yaoi or Boys Love is specifically fictional gay men, written by women for women. I have never seen a lesbian gush over the real filmed stuff. If you only like fictional men who are perfect and romantic with their lovers do you really like men?

21st century first world homosexuality isn't that cut and dried. There's no internal expectation that what they literally do or think needs to logically follow what they say they are because the self-imposed label of gay/lesbian/trans/queer in its present state is an ideology of "inclusivity" where everyone who partakes is implicitly the specialest little snowflake who pukes rainbows out of every orifice and you're a nazi bigot for questioning any inconsistencies of the corporate lifestyle brand that is Queerness. This is anecdotal on my end, but getting back to what I was saying regarding BPD and homosexuality, almost every gay man I’ve known in my life had a personality-disordered mother. They either clung onto their sons with fervor and lived through them vicariously, or they neglected them. There’s a reason the stereotype of gay men being “momma’s boy’s” exist.

You hear people rag on parents who don’t love their kids enough because their son is gay, but you never hear it for the opposite for mothers who love their sons less because they’re straight. Some women desperately want a gay son because they see their child as a potential “best friend” they can engage in their typically feminine interests with. This goes back to BPD. It’s common for BPD/NPD women to want babies because they want something that’s an extension of themselves, and when the baby becomes a child beginning to form their own identity, they lose interest in motherhood. If a BPD woman can get a child who’s like her, she can relate more to it, and thus, have a greater incentive to nurture it. I’m very convinced this is how a significant majority of homosexual males come about, with the rest being hormones in-utero, random chance/environment, and grooming.

If this sounds like I’m ragging on women and giving the fathers a pass, I’m not, and am actually really interested in seeing how the father can be a potential influence on homosexual development, but I do think the mother is much more influential in regards to homosexual men. For lesbians, I think it may be an entirely different story.

Anyway as thread tax: One of the funny things about faggoty things, is that people will call gay romances in childrens media obscene, or whatever. Probably Cluster B, then. BPD’s are 75% more likely to identify as gay/bi than your average depressive. It’s common knowledge that BPD is often inherited from the parent (usually the mother) to the child through abuse, so wether it’s more likely that non-hetero sexualities emerge from abuse, BPD is a comorbidity with homosexuality, or BPD’s latch onto LGBT sexualities because they think they’ll receive more attention is unclear. It’s a really interesting connection though, because it explains some of the histrionic behaviors LGBT people exhibit when they’re not being “validated”. I knew someone like that, with strong BPD/histrionic traits, as soon as the whole LGBT thing started becoming mainstream at early 10's she immediately started to claim she was bisexual (she never had any interest in other women, other than joining social cliques for clout). But here's the kicker, she was a mother of two in her 40s. Oh, and she wrecked that family. And abandoned an orphaned child she adopted. It's a lot. My post wasn’t about hating the mothers of gay men, but rather my theory on how homosexuality develops in a lot of men, and yes I do think a lot of it does come from the influence of the mother.

Tbh I don’t even hate gay men (or their mothers, I’ll disclose that before someone calls me out on being a woman-hater), but they and the rest of the LGBT “community” have a lot of unsavory behaviors that get brushed under the rug or blamed on heterosexuals for being “intolerant”. I’m surrounded by it in my line of work and I’m tired of having to constantly kowtow to these mentally ill freaks and pretend that the lies they tell themselves and others is “valid”. It’s so disgusting and demoralizing. This is the only place I can truly talk about these issues on here without it being predominated by Bible-thumpers.

This falls under the umbrella of nurture vs nature, but if mental illness has been passed down, maybe a bit of both.

It is also a very open secret that most if not all homosexual dudes have absentee fathers or father figures who have not done the best or have a strained relationship with the fagspawn. Y'know. 'Daddy issues.' Dunno how it is for lesbians.

I'd like to follow up and agree with second part of your post. Anyone who labels themselves as LGBT+ is a part of the problem, and that community needs dismantling and disavowing. You'll see the rise of people identifying as LGB instead because things have gotten so bad in the house.

The report provides demographic characteristics of victims of violent crimes, including sex, race or Hispanic origin, and age. It also presents data on the types of violent crimes involved and whether victims chose to report the victimization to police. Population estimates for persons age 16 or older by sexual orientation and gender identity are also provided.
Highlights
During 2017 to 2020—

• The rate of violent victimization of lesbian or gay persons (43.5 victimizations per 1,000 persons age 16 or older) was more than two times the rate for straight persons (19.0 per 1,000).
• The rate of violent victimization against transgender persons (51.5 victimizations per 1,000 persons age 16 or older) was 2.5 times the rate among cisgender persons (20.5 per 1,000).

I was a wee'un when gay marriage was legalized. It was whatever. To me marriage was just something people in love do with one another, or it was for money purposes, taxes and crap. In retrospective, a lot of it was fueled by anti-fundamentalism fueled by the usual suspects known as journalists. Back then, I didn't think much on it, I didn't plan on getting married. Now? It feels like there was an active effort to test the waters. And I don't think it's okay.
