I gave the game a go, its literally just pick-your-dialogue ala telltale-games. you are a goth grill with a singing talent and you meet Calliope, in which you have a singing duet, she randomly drops in your house in the evening or in the next day, gets killed and you harvest her soul. hermes sends you through a portal and you land in Athenas office, together with Athena, Apollo, Persephone, and Aphrodite. they are letting you know that you are being accused of murder, and they will keel you, apollo says nah and they give you 7 days to prove your innocence. back in your house the dead body dissapears and your classmate freddie shows up hysterically where you had been and shit, and you meet the other god Pan who is willing to help you, but will ask for a favor in return. i managed to survive 33 minutes of playtime.

its literally a mid game. 40 levels of buttonmashing to keel people without the yakuza story. it is sort of enjoyable with cheat engine from time to time when you unlock everything from the skilltree. currently sitting on 1h and 23 minutes of playtime.

well calliope died fucking fast which was cringe, also for the wokeness, the greek gods looked like this:

That depiction of aphrodite slayed me. Also lmao at persephone, goddess of spring not having any flower symbolism.

And maybe I'm just comparing it to how awful the gods were but calliope doesn't look bad at all. Not ideal, sure, but more believable and modern than the garbage above

My God, where do I start? I get that Greek gods can technically look how ever they want...but at the same time, did they have to look so butt ugly?
The goddess of beauty is a she-boom
Athena looks like a granny
Apollo looks okay ish but could be better
Persephone looks like a tranny

They all look awful, even Calliope.

Also the greek gods would never make themselves look so ugly and leftist ideology really doesnt sound like something they would be okay with. Greek Gods would be billionaires and elites if they existed in modern times.

Athena and Apollo look alright, but also absolutely bland and boring
Aphrodite is gonna be butt uggo in absolutely every depiction in modern day because having a literal goddess that represents love and beauty is like asking to be made into a fat black cunt who looks like she works at the DMV, that sort of subtle 'haha yeah my tastes are just inherently naturally progressive' behavior is like fucking crake cockaine to these people
And Persephone is every BPD girly's favorite self insert character because they like her whole good-girl-turned-bad (perceived, not actually true to the story) ~*~vibés~*~, so basically odds are she looks like what the creator looks like/wants to look like

IIRC the conceit is that the Greek gods keep reincarnating inside people, not that this is their longstanding appearance. So they get their memories back that they're gods over time, then live out god lives, then die and the cycle starts again. I vaguely remember a plot detail that one person is known to be a god but keeps killing themselves in each body when they remember this.

Correct, this was Aphrodite (the fat black woman). In the game, a lot of time is spent on the tension between her and her son (pictured here in his casualwear. this is the god of sex btw) 1726890602444.png
when she tries to reincarnate into a crippled AND fat black woman (pictured below. it is nigh impossible to find a picture of her with her wheelchair showing, but trust me she has one)

to repress her memories about being tortured and raped by actual Nazis because her husband invented nukes.
Please do not take interest in the game because of this, such a plot detail is in fact the only vaguely interesting part of the game and it is background fluff at best. The rest of it is the usual preachy, insufferable writing that revolves mostly around singing and sex or marvel quips and swearing. The plot is barely coherent and all of the characters deserve death.

If I had a penny for everytime a gaggle of 2quirky4me girls picked up a series of ancient tales they absolutely do not understand and turned it into a modern highschool movie...
