Power dynamics play a huge role in the homosexual behavior that you've described. Love and attraction though? That's something that has more nuance to it than dominance and submission, it also plays a very shitty role in the history of why things are the way they are right now. I can't speak on lesbians, in my eyes, they're left well enough alone and labeled as TERFS for standing up to invasive, parasitic tactics of trannies. The only fault I can think of is the common domestic abuse that happens in same-sex relationships, indicative of a bigger problem.

It stigmatizes victims and encourages them to engage in riskier lifestyles instead of receiving help. Seriously, there was a study done about this with thousands of gay and bi men, and the 20% of gay/bi males assessed who were sexually abused in their youth had an increased risk of being transmitted HIV. The researchers actually had the balls to call HIV a “psychosocial condition”. This was a study done by the University of Oregon out of all places in 2009, before that gay marriage shit started gaining traction.

This would be rejected by most academic journals nowadays for being “homophobic”, even though it highlights a horrifying issue of an epidemic of young boys being abused and not receiving the help they need, thus in turn becoming more victimized by a culture that claims him as one of their own, and the cycle of abuse continues onward. That ‘homosexuality’ could be a maladaptive coping mechanism for being molested by an older, male figure makes sense. It’s all so very horrible and sad.
