EA/Bioware literally said they wanted Call of Duty's audience when they made ME2 and ME3, and Obsidian added iron sights from CoD to FNV when some people noticed they weren't in FO3.

World of Warcraft, also known as "the most popular PC game of all time" and "often the only game a PC gamer would play for years on end" says hello. Come to think of it, the first time I was ever aware of someone paying a subscription fee to game online was Dark Age of Camelot.

Oh. Well, uh, that's a kid-oriented title. Children don't know any better. I'm pretty sure niggers play that game, too. The serious, competitive PC gamers who play serious, competitive games don't waste money like that. Why, let's just pop over to a popular auction site and see what kinds of prices PC gamers pay for cosmetics on the open market. The white man knows better. I bet the white man spends more than a dollar or two on something like gloves the average player will never notice.

World of warcraft is the only game i can think of that requires a monthly subscription (which you can pay with ingame money btw), but even then who plays world of warcraft in 2024? it's not 2012 anymore.

No, that was more of a hybrid between action games and realism. I don't really see Dark Souls as a Dude-Bro RPG, especially considering that the latter is more of a casual RPG that you can easily get into like Mass Effect 2 or Fallout 3, whereas Dark Souls was more difficult, and had more in common with action games, only with less power fantasy and more difficulty. It's like God of War or Devil May Cry, except gameplay-wise, you're one of the mooks instead of the god of destruction that action games usually make you into.

I hardly ever see that game mentioned, unlike games like league of legends, fortnite, rocket league, counter strike etc.
I don't doubt it's still doing well, but it's clear that it's far from the most popular game on pc right now and it hasn't been for quite a few years
 
After the whole radahn debacle, fromsoft should just put in a easy mode for players who simply can't progress in sufficient enough time.

It was the biggest moneymaker on PC for like fifteen to twenty years, which is enough to throw cold water on the notion that PC gamers would never pay a monthly fee for a game. The enormous amounts of money PC gamers continue to shell out for battle passes, subscriptions, cosmetics, pay-to-win, etc should really take this idea that PC gamers are super-savvy penny-pinching pirates out behind the barn and shoot it in the head.

NOOOO THEY'RE PAYING WITH IN-GAME CURRENCY is cope. WoW has made almost 12.8 billion dollars. That's real dollars, not fake pixel money.

Yes, imo. It's heavily focused on action to the point where it might as well just be a boss rush so you dont need to pay attention to a whole lot, it's hard enough to give retards something to feel proud of themselves for but not too hard that it makes Kyle tear up his Monster hat too often. Plus you can grief and troll really hard and buddy up. It just took the dude-bros until Bloodborne/DS3 to notice.

I understand that, i'm not disputing that and you're absolutely right. Wow isn't even the best example when games like league of legends and counter strike exist. In the world of pc gaming wow has become kind of a niche game, not one of the big titles that most people played at some point.
However getting ripped off for online play is on a whole different level, because you don't even have a choice. A year of playstation is 152 euro, which is more than i spent in microtransactions in my whole life.
I even know pirates who wasted hundreds on a single title, but it wasn't forced by their platform of choice. In the end, had i sticked with consoles in the last 2 gens i'd have spent thousands more, so that guy had a point, even though pc gamers can be even worse than the worst console fag; lowest lows, highest highs
