During some of the craziest parts of the home buying frenzy of the early 2020s, circumstances aligned to make it necessary to buy a house by doing "virtual tours" from a long distance away with a real estate agent who was actually there at the house.

We picked our (black, female) agent because she had serious hustle where all the other people we talked to didn't. And when she did a virtual tour of a house, she'd sometimes tell us "stay tuned" or something similar...this was code for "I don't want to be impolite in front of another agent/the homeowner but something is wrong here and I'll tell you later." Like when she smelled mold and damp in one of the houses...that's the kind of thing you need when you buy a house from a distance.

Well, one of the houses she went into, she did the "stay tuned" thing...and when she came out, she said "look, it's not a bad house exactly but you should know, it smells very, very strongly of curry, like to the point where the smell is in all the walls, even in the bedrooms. You would have to do a super-deep clean and probably a total repaint of the home in order to get the curry smell out, based on my own past experiences."

Indians get profoundly angry when told they or their stuff smells like curry. But sometimes it fucking does! I've heard Chinese people say that whites smell like dairy products (because we can digest lactose and therefore eat more dairy). IDK, maybe we do, obviously if it's normal in your racial group it'd be hard to notice. I don't think it's horribly offensive to say, and I don't think it's horrible to say a lot of South Asians have a certain curriness.
I can attest to this. Turmeric doesn't just stain everything yellow, it fucking smells too.

I dunno about anyone else, but after all of the bullshit this week I could use another awesome Glampers white pill.

Unfathomably based. A lot of people have a knee-jerk dislike of DeSantis because he dared to primary President Trump, but the man is legit impressive and exercises executive power at a level Trump never even attempted in his first term.

DeSantis was always a MAGAchurian candidate, I called it before he even tried to run in the primary. The media glows him up as being everything those that hate the media wants. Their attacks on DeSantis were reverse psychology, and that gave up the entire plot. At least half of the "amazing" executive power actions are all big publicized announcements that fall through. I'm sure he's going to break this case wide open and not shrug, and let the media bury it, when he gives up when the Feds say no.

You're a literal exceptional individual if you still think DeSantis is a based populist candidate after his Brutus Primary run. And you're a double retard if you think he's a superior candidate when he washed out against a curry niggress Neocon in the primary, before he could even get blown the fuck out by Trump.

I dislike him because he bailed on the state and a lot of shit went sideways while he was trying on some high heels to pretending to be a big boy. I voted for him to be a governor, not a failure candidate.
If you go to a drug addict and go "hey, this guy is going to steal your crack" and the drug addict attacks them, aren't you liable for inciting the attack? Why the hell do the media get off scot free?
dude shouldn't try to steal my crack

Dirty little secret, in a TON of houses built in the 90s-00s, the exhaust fan doesn't actually exhaust outta the house. Some of them just vent on to the wall behind the cabinets, some into the vented attic space. Seems to be more common in planed development tracts largely made up of 3 bedrooms.

If there is any feeling I know in my heart of hearts is true, it's that out of all news stations, MSNBC is probably the one most gleefully working with the FBI.
Federal agents are routine guests on that channel. I think most news anchors are failed fed agents that didn't pass the main test to qualify as agents and instead got offered as cable news anchors as a compensation prize. I have no doubt that is probably the case for Chis Hayes and Rachel Maddow. It was the case for Tucker Carlson before being a part of CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.

Operation Mockingbird or a successor project is certainly still being done.

Not with their bases getting mortared and sniped at constantly, supplies getting stolen and destroyed before they reach base, constant IEDs and ambushes in the field as they try to patrol, and, yes, their families targeted
mortars need mortar tubes and explosives and the last us raid on an armory was on harper's ferry in the the 1850's. any idiot making haji mortars gets what they deserve.
