BEIRUT, Sept 17 (Reuters) - More than 1,000 people, including Hezbollah fighters and medics, were wounded on Tuesday when the pagers they use to communicate exploded across Lebanon, security sources told Reuters.
A Hezbollah official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the detonation of the pagers was the "biggest security breach" the group had been subjected to in nearly a year of war with Israel.
Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah have been engaged in cross-border warfare since the Gaza war erupted last October, the worst such escalation in years.

The Israeli military declined to comment on Reuters enquiries about the detonations.
Iran's Mehr news agency said the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, was injured by one of the blasts. Reuters could not immediately confirm the report.
A Reuters journalist saw ambulances rushing through the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, amid widespread panic. A security source said that devices were also exploding in the south of Lebanon.

At Mt. Lebanon hospital, a Reuters reporter saw motorcycles rushing to the emergency room, where people with their hands bloodied were screaming in pain.
The head of the Nabatieh public hospital in the south of the country, Hassan Wazni, told Reuters that around 40 wounded people were being treated at his facility. The wounds included injuries to the face, eyes and limbs.
The wave of explosions lasted around an hour after the initial detonations, which took place about 3:45 p.m. local time (1345 GMT). It was not immediately clear how the devices were detonated.

Lebanese internal security forces said a number of wireless communication devices were detonated across Lebanon, especially in Beirut's southern suburbs, leading to injuries.
Groups of people huddled at the entrance of buildings to check on people they knew who may have been wounded, the Reuters journalist said.
Regional broadcasters carrying CCTV footage which showed what appeared to be a small handheld device placed next to a grocery store cashier where an individual was paying spontaneously exploding. In other footage, an explosion appeared to knock out someone standing at a fruit stand at a market area.

Lebanon’s crisis operations center, which is run by the health ministry, asked all medical workers to head to their respective hospitals to help cope with the massive numbers of wounded coming into for urgent care. It said health care workers should not use pagers.
The Lebanese Red Cross said more than 50 ambulances and 300 emergency medical staff were dispatched to assist in the evacuation of victims.

Hezbollah fired missiles at Israel immediately after the Oct. 7 attacks by Hamas gunmen on Israel. Hezbollah and Israel have been exchanging fire constantly ever since, while avoiding a major escalation as war rages in Gaza to the south.
Tens of thousands of people have been displaced from towns and villages on both sides of the border by the hostilities.

From OSINT

What we know so far:
- Explosion happened simultanously
- Explosions didn't only happen in Lebanon, but in Syria too so it's a long range to be wireless detonation signal.
- The pager is 'Rugged Pager AR924' produced by a Taiwanese company
- Small Li-Ion battery, can't explode that big
- None of the pagers caught fire, which is common incase of a battery 'explosion' rather they just exploded.
- However the pagers did heat up before
- All exploded pagers were the same model of pager.
- The pagers came from one shipment

Also pretty shitty headline considering this was an attack that could only hit Hezbollah members

Video of the attacks

was it the jews who pushed the muslims to attempt conquering europe during the arab conquests, too?
Who opened the gates when the muslims invaded Constantinople and Spain?
Utah is the size of Germany, there's going to be a few of everyone here. Retard.
People don't just physically appear in places. They are brought there. By whom and for what purpose?
I was twelve and getting ready for school when I saw on the news that 3,000 people had been killed by a bunch of Muslims eager for 72 virgins and death to America. They were very much not on the other side of the world and most definitely a threat.
Just 3000? That's it? That's what you're upset about? How many Americans have died because of mass immigration and diversity pushed by the jews? How many Americans have died in the wars for israel? Those 3000 can even be counted among them because the support for israel by the US government was an explicitely stated reason for the attack. Assuming it was even by muslims at all. Considering those mossad agents who were sent by israel to document the event before it even happened by their own admission. If a muslim rapes your child and flees back home, he will be executed. If a jew rapes your child and flees to israel, he will be given safe harbor. It is mind boggling how fucking stupid most Americans are.

they have radio towers? these things are not things that are easy to keep clandestine. they need to be very visible. if they're run by a terrorist organization then it would be pretty fucking trivial to blow it up with a missile or something, wouldn't you think
Why would they need to be clandestine? Just have them mounted on the normal cellphone masts and on top of buildings.
You can literally pay companies to set it all up for you. The system itself is perfectly legal, if antiquated.

I bet you they have GPRS hardware on the normal cell phone masts.

Reactions: Not Really Here
Just because Israel does it doesn't make it right. This is evil and reckless.
Ya it does seem really reckless to just mail out a few thousand bombs. How many of these pagers got stolen, traded, or sold? Will we hear of some random radio autist in germany or the US getting blown up from his little ham radio beeper project in a few months?

I think if any other group did this type of reckless op there would be a massive shitstorm. Just because its against the flavor of sandnigger that most people hate now doesn't make it right.

I really resent that we don't circulate these more in the west.

People should see what the poor downtrodden freedom fighters actually do when they get the slightest chance.

Ireland and the PRC were both particuarly vicious in the early 1900s with what their fighters and hitmen pulled, shooting fathers in front of children and the like but I don't recall any accounts of the Red Guards or IRA dancing on the mutilated corpses of foreign tourists at music festivals.

are you spamming gore of jews because you're being made to look like a retard in this thread? and we're supposed to believe you're not from pol? the muslims aren't sending their best.
"Mister Metokur groomed me. Sweetie Squad 4 life, my fellow keksters."
Dude... I'm begging you to stop being embarrassing.

What do you think people fighting for their freedom do? Especially when given the opportunity to amass a direct attack on the oppressors using proper means instead of the rocks that Israelis are forcing the average Palestinian to use in the open air concentration camps.

For everyone so sure they were going to hezbollah, how do you know?
I don't know, but I can offer you an educated guess that might make you feel better.

Hezbola has an IT department. They also have an HR department. They have people whose job it is to give out pagers to the fighters and leaders. My guess is that Israel compromised someone in that department, and made them give out explody pagers.

That person may not even have known what they were doing. They may have been told, "we can listen in on these pagers" and they decided that was something they were willing to cooperate on.

But the problem is, we will never know. There is a 100% probability that you're going to see a picture of a dead kid with a pager in the next 24 hours. They would create that image for you, even if no kids died. We will never actually know the truth.

That's not what happened though. These were gotten through shipments from Iran. Israel didn't just put explosives in random bombs

What if it was a shipment that just went to a lebanese reseller? Not directly to Hezbollah, but is a supplier of that region?

I guess the dumb thing is, they only took out 2k. They're definitely going to retaliate and the jew is probably going to cry for dollars.
One of the things I've noticed not-Muslims say whenever they totally-don't-side-with-Muslims is they'll always hint at the Muslim terrorist group repaying some military action with great retribution beyond reckoning followed by the subject of said retribution sobbing in defeat and begging for other countries for help, and it's always after said terrorist group gets pwned.

Always.
