For sure. But by the end of his life (he died in 1896) he had kind of shifted over to the Noveau, which was moving away from extraneous detail.
He famously said everything in a home should be useful or beautiful, and that ended dup focusing on smaller finer detailed design objects, rather than vomiting everything everywhere in living spaces that became increasingly overcrowded with shit as both manufacturing and the middle class with spare money boomed.
So you had orientalist (again very paired with art noveau aesthetics inspirations) minimalism, bright white living spaces with a few bits and prices of more carefully selected design. Paired in with the ideology of the rational dress movement of which osccar and Constance were into. It also melded nicely with the increasing health and naguralism boom of the same time, and all this shit came together and ended up forming the seeds of the thing that woudl blossom, verrry eventually, into nazism a few decades later, funnily enough.
