That looks fucking good.
I wonder how hard I can push this until it becomes a salty meaty monstrosity, if they allow adding an extra meat patty, surely they allow 2. The only thing was it was a tad bit dry but a bit of tomato sauce and tobasco should sort that out.

The next bit of Australian goyslop I want to try is the breakfast shitake mushroom burrito from guzman y gomez, might e slightly healthier....

I enjoy the canned nacho cheese sauce for nachos...yeah I know it's soy bean oil with cheese flavoring but I enjoy it with a light beer.

I have ever worked in goyslop restaurants just to save money and get free slop. I might just return to that life.

I've been stealing little packets of soy sauce from the supermarket. The ones for single use. It's supposed to be for if you get to-go sushi, but I just take one sometimes.

Today I emptied one into a very small teacup, and then I added an egg yolk.

I dipped what I was eating into the cup, and it became covered in salty yolk sauce before each bite.

Edit to add: I often ask permission to take a packet and set of chopsticks. The cashiers think this is very funny, and say yes. So it's not entirely "stealing." I just don't pay for it.

Recently, I've been having a cheeky burrito at least once a week at work. I found it a bit boring, which isn't a shock considering 'Straya isn't a hub for Mexican foods. I decided to change the flavour profile by adding in some dumpling sauce to the mix.

The slight salt/vinegar taste adds a bit more to the burrito in my mind. Then again, years ago one of my guilty pleasures was refried bean pasta.

Do you get it at a chain like guzman y gomez? Well. you could always try a bowl instead, add like black rice at zambrero.

Yeah, I know they have started to pop up a lot more, but my nearest one is 45 minutes away from me. There was a food truck a while ago that did some killer tacos.

I'll take that in to consideration though, guess I'll keep pounding the pavement and trying to suss some hidden gems!

I just find it weird that a country like Australia has 4 main goyslop tex mex chains pop up all within the same timeframe, mad mex, zambreros, salsas, & guzmen y gomez. Taco Bell is a different beast. Taco Bill is 1980's style Melbourne retro Mexican that has great salsa with a Scoville level of 100.

Quesadillas with hot sauce midnight snack edition.

Has probably gained me 10-15 of my extra 40 lbs.

It's a little Caesars thing. If I recall correctly, they give out some free crazy bread every week if you're using T-Mobile or anything owned by them.
Little Caesars crazybread has no business being as great as it is.

I don't want to be the reason why you gained another 15 pounds, but....

If you think that's good, try adding a line of tahini sauce to the quesadilla. It gives it a twang of fast food magic.

Eating the greasy takeout garbage was particularly rough this time. My body really isn't used to goyslop anymore and the monthly "treat" really doesn't feel like a treat anymore, it feels like self inflicted punishment. I feel sick as a fucking dog in August.

Bye bye, Americanized Chinese takeout. I'll miss what we once had, but not what you are or what we've become. :heart-empty:
