Goyslop confessional thread. - The first step of recovery is to admit you have a problem.

I've tried the frozen cherries trick but it doesn't work. I will go out at night just to pick up a stupid king size candy bar if there's only fruit or sugar free shit in the house. I swear it is just like a drug addiction, I feel like something is gnawing at me if I don't have it. Probably good that I've never tried drugs because I'd probably be a complete junkie.

If anyone has any suggestions to deal with this, I'll try them.
Have you tried weaning off of it, or keeping to only one day (or the weekend) to eating sugar?
One way I've managed to cut down on sugar intake is simply not buying candies and similar items, if I really want the sweets I' take the time to bake them myself. If I have the butter and chocolate, I make cookies. If I only have cocoa, I'll make brownies. Putting in the work makes the treats taste better, and you at least shouldn't feel too inclined to eat them all in one go. Otherwise all your hard work is gone :story:

Carls Jr./Hardee’s makes a damn tasty burger by fast food metrics. Obviously not gonna be as good as a home cooked one, or one from a local place, but I’m rarely disappointed either when I decide to grab something from them for lunch.

love kfc but only when theyre run even just partially, somewhat competently (challenge level: HIGH)

goyslop confessional complaint: so many food places have turned into total shithole dumps since 2020/lockdowns/immigrant worker takeover, like with full-on holes in the walls and ceilings, employees and homeless leaving personal belongings out on tables all the time, lightbulbs burnt out, no music/tv to drown out schizohomeless and loud nogs, drink machines shut down, chairs for doordashers scattered up front and in the way... like some shitholes were always poorly cleaned but now it feels like going into someone's trashy home. everyone made fun of Karens but they filled a role in the ecosystem. i u-turn out of most places these days, and that actually isnt even limited to fast food or chain places now that i think about it. like corporations will spend the money to remodel the whole place and managers/employees just run it immediately down into shit anyway.

Idk if this counts, but I know a teenage girl who excels in literally all academic fields, is a cheerleader, and has a part time job, But she has a bizarre and almost concerning love of Mountain Dew Baja Blast.

She’d go to Taco Bell not to eat but to get Baja blast-and nearly lost her mind when she discovered it came in individual servings at the convenience store. I e never seen anyone go so hard for a soda

My Friday ritual is to get two spicy chicken sandwiches with extra pickles from the Chick-fil-a down the road from my job. I miss when fast food used to be cheap though, if I get a combo for the fries and a drink it'll run me like $16.

Aside from the Lord's chicken, I mostly have dropped the goyslop entirely.

I keep consuming cheap noodles and various beverages that I either purchase from a convinience store or receive from an insurance company for free.
Shloud start eating normal food.

I haven't eaten beanie weenies since i was like seven years old, but earlier tonight I was really high and had a sudden craving for them and said to myself why not.

Can of baked beans, some sliced up Vienna Beef brand hotdogs, and some leftover spicy seasoned wild hog ground sausage I had frozen from when when I made too much for biscuits and gravy a few weeks ago. 2 small drops of mad dog 357 hot sauce. And a few garlic and butter seasoned croutons on top.

I doubt I would ever eat this again, and I'm a little ashamed of myself, but it was pretty fuckin good. If I ever were to make this again, I might go even harder on the goyslopping and add a thin layer of grated cheddar in a middle layer of the bowl.

I was at a gas station on a road trip and was just hungry enough for a snack/late lunch and I saw genuine Beanie Weenies in a small can for about two bucks or so (plus or minus fifty cents). It was a miserable wet and cold day; I got coffee instead, and despite having a strong constitution when it comes to food, I really didn't want to run the risk of "I need to shit" with the only option being some filthy gas station restroom miles down.

For a second, I was tempted, though.

Gas station beenie weenies sounds like a terrible idea. I once saw fucking SUSHI being sold in a gas station I stopped at. I wasn't hungry at the time, but all I could think was even a starving fresh over the border migrant would be suicidal to even consider eating that shit. I'd rather eat a truck stop bathroom egg sandwich.

I'm a sucker for a Carl's Jr burger. They're the only chain where I live that uses real lettuce on their burgers, as opposed to whatever the hell Maccas and Hungry Jacks/Burger King put on theirs.

It was the real deal, in a can.

It would've been an entirely different deal if it came from a self-serve bar. (Speaking of which, I learned the hard way--don't get breakfast tacos at 7-Eleven on the way to work unless you want to be shitting at work).

Soda has never been a problem for me. I drink it sometimes, but it's never been addicting enough for me to keep drinking it. Not sure if energy drinks count, but it's effectively the same thing.

Taco bell, though. I will fuck up a quesadilla and a beefy 5 layer any day of the week. Great for treating myself and for road trips.

While I eat fast food less and less now. I still keep drinking carbonated soda around 8 times a day and whenever I have energy drinks, I drink at least 2 a day. Whenever I went to the United States, I fill the truck with cases of Mountain Dew not available in Canada. One time I ate an entire pack of Debbie cakes in 2 days. Thankfully the worst I got was overweight and was never obese but once in awhile I'd have atrocious eating decisions like eating 10 pieces of fried chicken in one day. But yeah, I am thankful I'd have my family cook me something or I cook something myself more often but my drink choices are often horrendous. Though when I was in Mexico I would cut down on carbonated drinks because it's not as available in bulk but in Japan, I would get a coke, Grape Fanta or Monster Energy from a vending machine often, though my eating choices are much healthier there.

Where is her self respect? Her dignity? Where does she live? What is her phone number? Is she free tonight?
Obviously, I love Baja Blast too, but besides that I'm basically addicted to all goyslop. God, please help me!
