Trump is likely to "be killed" before the election and the only outstanding question at this point is whether the death will be faked and whether Trump is in on it, in order to bring this country to full-fledged Civil War. He did create the Lethal Injections to poison millions of people, after all. Alternatively, Trump actually is a good guy, and his enemies actually are trying to kill him. Although only one signer was Catholic, he bankrolled a lot of the Revolution and did a lot of work getting French aid to not talk about Catholics serving in the Continental Army.
The other reason was that they saw how the State rots the Church.

In Michigan, many people voted absentee after Whitmer flip flopped on her strict COVID stances and said she would not enforce social distancing at polls because it would somehow disenfranchise voters.

As a whole, I think Trump may have done himself a disservice by saying Absentee voting couldn't be trusted as it may have led to many Republicans staying home if they didn't want to risk COVID by voting in person. This year, he really needs to encourage his voter base to vote by whatever method necessary. Every vote for Trump will require two fortification votes (one to cancel out and one more for Harris) and make it that much more difficult to pull the shenangins that took place in 2020.

The real question is whether state-level GOP operatives and watchdogs are ready for it this time. I'm not seeing much encouraging on that front. I hate having to rely on Team Harris botching a complex operation.

In some Blue states, however, laws have been passes to hamstring poll watchers - if not Republican ones specifically. How this may impact the election remains to be seen, but I'll repeat my opinion that I foresee this election becoming an absolute shitshow in any state with a close margin.
