"Current Year" trends that piss you off

There are videos on YouTube/Instagram where they use cars in "what if" scenarios like: can this sport car overtake a speeding truck or something like that. Where is the entertainment in that?

Oh, and those AI President voices play X games. Annoying as hell.

The worst one of all currently has to be normalising ''Mental health'' issues in children that don't know any better. I see it as a point scoring system for parents to have the most fucked up child. When I was growing up mental health in general wasn't a thing, you might have your odd sad day but that was about it. Now it's like one sad day = depression. Sorry but children have nothing to be depressed or anxious about, if they do it's because of their parents doing a shit job. Here you go little Timmy, have a smartphone at the age of 4 because mammy wants some peace and quiet from you. If you can't be bothered to provide a normal upbringing for your child, don't have them.

How about when moms post about having five, six+ children in their household and then say they're having ANOTHER child? Why do you have so many kids?

Seems like newer movies suck more. Crappy stories, "identity politics", and that "shoddy watered down smartphone feel" aren't rare.

(same could be said of new media in general)

Dunno if this is an unpopular opnion as I don't really keep up with American movies in Current Year, but from what I've seen of brief clips, Current Year American movies seem to somehow look less realistic than older American movies. Stuff like the apparent overuse of 3DCG, the definite overuse of aqua and orange gloomy lighting, all those potentially seizure-inducing bright flashing lights, and that "ridiculous scale" action contribute to that "unrealistic" feel. Especially with space scenes. Like I said, older American movies (like from the late 20th century) can somehow feel more realistic, especially with them using CMYK-based film instead of current all-digital filming.

tl;dr: American movies from Current Year can feel less realistic than older ones.

There is this suspension bridge in the badlands in Alberta that I usually go to around once a year. Whilst I cross the suspension bridge the next thing I do is I climb up the hills that take me out of the canyon, that was really fun. You are rewarded with an amazing view of the town. It was closed off from 2020 - 2024. But a couple months after it reopened. They decided to close off the part where you can walk up just around a month ago because of environmental concerns and safety concerns. So it appears that some retarded Logan Paul influenced faggots were throwing their trash on the trail while doing other retarded shit on there and because of these fags, the trail is closed off for everybody.

It would've been much better to put a woodchipper on the trail so if anyone misbehaves there, they'll be thrown in it.

The Mullet + Mustache + Tattoo trend is a fucking travisty.
I downloaded Tinder for some box and there were so many women in my city looking for guys that look like pic related.

I also feel tense during the first half, waiting for the woke shit shoe to drop.

I've also noticed that they keep hauling out old actors. Maybe it's because they know how to actually act. Maybe it's because they actually have name recognition and the newer ones never do anymore, I don't know what's going on. You watch a movie with nothing but new actors and it's just really bad.

20 years ago you'd get new actors, but out of any year's batch, you could see a few were going to develop a reputation and stick around for awhile. These days I can't see any particular standouts.

There aren't any. No sane person would want to be an actor when you can be a youtuber, vtuber, e-celeb or OF whore. Hollywood as a whole is wholly obsolete and nobody with actual talent would sell themselves into that Jewish hell. Western media as a whole is utterly dead and it isn't coming back. East Asia is the only cultural hub in the modern world.
