When someone puts "Y'all" in their post I start reading it in a overly stereotypical southern or negro accent and can't take whatever you're saying seriously anymore.

I hate that E touching the I, it should be Ablism/Ablist, but that doesn't look right either. It looks like it'd be said "Ah-BLIZ'm" instead of "AY-ble-IS'm." I do think there should be a word for discrimination based on ability in the vein of racism and sexism, but there's gotta be a better way to write it. I dunno. I don't think it's gonna leave within my lifetime, but that little grammar/spelling thing just irks me.

It got overused, like the term "SJWs." Social Justice Warriors was a perfectly cromulent word for describing a specific microcosm of chronically online liberals, but then people used SJWs as a catch-all for all liberals and it became associated with cringe neckbeard redditors who are basically SJWs dipped in red paint. Same thing with Mary Sue; it was great for describing a specific type of poorly written female character, but then it became a shorthand for "poorly written characters" and "female characters I hate" and it got ruined. I waffle between "they took the words from us so we couldn't Notice" and "it's the cringelords' fault for making the words cringe by association," but regardless the words got stretched too thin and snapped.

Also, re: the neverending Y'all discussion, I also hate non-southerners using y'all as some kind of magic gender neutral dogwhistle. Same with "folks" or any other word/phrase appropriated from poor whites. For the record, I say "you guys" and I'm tired of the anti-midwest microaggressions. "You Guys" isn't gender-specific either but nobody wants to fucking hear it. >:I

Abilism/abilist, since it comes from the Latin suffix -ābilis, or the word habilis with the H dropped through Old French.

Maybe not too much of a current-year term, but I despise the word "systemic". It shouldn't exist at all! The Latin word systema is a third-declension neuter noun loaned from Greek; its genitive form is systematis, and so the proper result of appending the suffix "-ic" is "systematic", not "systemic". We see something that's full of drama, and we call it "dramatic"; we don't call it "dramic" because that's not a word!

The fact that "systematic" and "systemic" mean two different things just makes it even worse.
