Battletech - Also known as Trannytech

ACs were already made the least powerful weapon class in the game by the introduction of double heatsinks, the fucking things need all the help they can get.
I am a Succession War player as I am of the opinion the DHS ruined the game. I am fine with it being rare, but with the later eras DHS being just everywhere ruins the whole balance. I'll play as far as clan invasion though after that the game starts to get stupid with everything getting stuffed with more and more gear thanks to XL.

The meta seems to be avoid them on some things.
UAC dakka has been part of the meta for a long time and still is, the jams can suck but the burst damage potential can be great which is really what matters and works regardless of skill level.

God I really want to play Roguetech but of course BT is unoptimized shit on seemingly the most unoptimized Unity engine version so adding an huge and unoptimized to fuck mod on top of that is a death sentence for my PC.
I'd Play BTA 3062 over Roguetech can actually run without killing your computer and has less Troons.

I had a good time with BTA, definitely a good mod even for those who do have RAM up the ass. Speaking of ram up the ass, does BTA really have less troons? It's Battletech so it's always going to be festered with them but I'm sick to death of faggots like Jamie Wolf and his troon platoons.

I only saw one or two on the discord and one of them was a Canopus player (Of course). I don't know about the dev team because I only use discord to check for updates. For the most part it seems less pozzed and less corpo loving. Though I don't play BTA anymore as they added a ton of stuff and decided that they are going to branch out and make their own timeline.

"NEW TIMELINE: BTAU's core conceit is that in BTAU, the timeline diverges from canon BattleTech's timeline starting during the Amaris Civil War. In BTAU's timeline, the Rim Worlds Republic never fell (though it was purged of House Amaris and their supporters). Additionally, House Cameron actually survived albeit in hiding in the Deep Periphery. ComStar set out to establish a new realm for the Cameron survivors and so in the late 3030s, the Terran Hegemony was reborn in the heart of the Inner Sphere. With the addition of the RWR and the Terran Hegemony, the balance of power in the Inner Sphere has shifted dramatically. Both the RWR and the TH are able to be allied, have their own shops, faction stores, and faction spawn lists. Additionally, BTAU now starts in 30*61*, not 3062, giving you a full year of gameplay and story events on the map before things like the Sanctuary Alliance invasion kick off. Finally, the timeline events have all been adjusted to account for the new factions and to give them things to do. There are new lore popups, new stories in the events, new characters to learn about, new wars to fight in, and more besides. Oh, and as a fun adjoinder, there's another new clan that comes to the Inner Sphere in 3061, Clan Fire Mandrill (and yes you can work for them and even ally with them)."

So a mech of mine is named for BTA. I don't want to brag but fuck bta is a smoother mod etc.

Lol not even a brag, it's just a fact that everyone, especially RT players, acknowledges for obvious reasons (much less bloat, built for vanilla, etc.) which is a shame since I like the amount of content it adds.

Double so. I am a big fan of 62 also I've bragged, a mech is named after me. :)

Grayson, I added you I only play on weekends when mostly drunk lol. We had a good TT night as always thrus, I hat e to say it but field guns need a BV boost. We were holding clans off and just gun teams raped big stars, even mostly low roll gun teams a dozen GRs will HURT anything. I know it's a mech game and based but non mechs are often a worthwhile buy but fuck me how cheap me spamming GRs and then LRM carriers, i had points to burn (and put into gunnery) I fear no dire wolf.

Found my first troon, I think they were a HBK-IIC-B, funny since as you can see I also have a HBK-IIC.

I've come to appreciate Light Mechs now that I'm two shotting Assault mechs in the back. Also I'm seeing at least one tranny flagged mech a day, most of which are on assaults.

The highest level of gameplay tends to be from the good light and fast medium pilots. A good pilot even in something without too much of a punch like a Locust can tie up an assault or two and easily tip the balance of a match.

In MWO how transferable are designs from MW5? I have a bunch of Maurader designs i run around with in MW5 and was wondering how good they would be in MWO.

I'm seeing it already. I also realize I'm in the minority of Heavy/Assault Mechs users with a brain.

Not too much, mechlab is different and you'll have to work with the limits of MWO.

To be fair, MWO has way less restrictions on what you can do compared to unmodified MW5. You could probably copy your design pretty easily. The only restriction I've noticed so far besides normal stuff like weight is that I can't put an RAC 5 on a Marauder 5D (only has energy and SRMs.) Otherwise, customisability seems to be way more open, and you should be able to make more or less whatever you want I would assume.

The only thing your limited in your builds is how many weapon hard points there are. Marauder 5d doesn't have any ballistic weapons.

I don't know what it is but holy shit Assault mech players are braindead. "Oh I'm getting melted from behind, let me just continue to stare at this corner. Why am I dead? Oh we're getting flanked? But the enemy might also come this way even though the vast majority of them are confirmed to be the other way, so I'm staying. Hey why are we getting flanked?" Makes me never want to touch an Assault mech again because I'd be associated with these retards.
