Just speaking for myself, out of sheer affection for the series there was a tiny spark of optimism inside me that the woke trash would be at some tolerable level and a decent game might emerge anyway. This spark can't be extinguished until I'm staring the trashfire full in the face. We're just about there, alas.

I can think of very few western RPG's in recent years that haven't had this or something like it in the character creator, including Baldur's Gate 3.

I had just sort of assumed this was what we were dealing with at minimum; the real question is how bad the story is poisoned with it.

I ppersonally think this Game will really show how the broader Gaming Audience thinks about DEI and shit like that. If everyone is really as woke as Journos like to pretend or if Gamers reject it. Concord was an indicator but it was a new IP in an oversaturated Market. This is a Big release from an established IP with full Focus on the Woke. I think the Litmus Test where Gaming stands right now will show itself with DA: The Woke. I think it'll sell decent enough (prob. 1 Million+) but nowhere near enough to make the suits at EA happy. It will loose Money but won't crash like Concord. And maybe - just maybe - the Industry can start to heal a bit after they reevaluate their stance on woke slop. It'll never happen but my inherent optimism still wants to believe.
