Last time I checked a lot of people were saying decent things about X-Men 97' and said that the show runner's comments about it hurt the show despite it being "okay" or "not bad." Also it just dropping you into the last arc of the original show was jarring for new watchers.

Not that Rottentomatoes is a good indicator of anything. They pluck whatever reviews they like from no name, no audience reviewers to achieve the fresh rating. Not to mention your typical reviewer is a whore for access, some of them have even admitted as much.

I remember looking at Alex Ross's follow up to Kingdom Come, Uncle Sam (US) when it was new and thinking I don't really want this political shit. I had really been into Kingdom Come and knew the DC Uncle Sam character from old comics I had like Crisis on Infinite Earths but this was really libtarded shit like oh the USA is so bad with injustices kind of stuff that is more common now. If you still like comics do more research and be picky about what new stuff you get into so you are disappointed before you buy it instead of after. Or become an archivist of stuff from when you liked it. You could try to make your own thing too, but then YOU are ruining comics.

It's just funny because they made a Star Wars show that had everything twitter wanted (corrupt Jedi, psychotic female protagonist, queers, space wiccans, Reylo bait) and no one watched it.

No opinion on Agatha, but RT has been really bad with TV shows even before "The Culture Wars". I'd try to search for new shows to watch and everything was rated fresh, even some of the worst seasons of the CW Arrowverse shows.

Conversely it also pays to be glowing about certain things. So it seems people are still watching when they praise shit.
