I think that some feds also know that being what they are makes them unpopular with certain people and they do not want to be harassed in their private lives.
It could be argued that's nature's way of saying "maybe you dickheads shouldn't be doing this kind of underhanded shit." But I take your point.

Also, there are no laws requiring federal agents to identify themselves. They will not do things they aren't required to do. If they deem it necessary for an investigation or for their own personal safety, they will not identify themselves.
Oh I wasn't suggesting it's required for them to identify themselves, just pointing out the guy filming here was completely justified in telling them to fuck off when they refused. They don't have to identify themselves, but conversely nobody has to actually talk to them either. It is entirely reasonable to refuse to interact with someone who refuses to identify themselves. Shady as fuck and no guarantee they're even agents to begin with.

And you're completely right that the best response to any request by the government (at any level) to "talk" or "answer questions" is to zip your lip and wait for your lawyer.

Yes but the dynamic is completely different now, they will do anything to keep an R from being in the White House
Nixon resigned because idiots in his party, unrelated and unconnected to him, did Watergate. He didn't know about it until he was watching it on the news.
This would be similar, except Kamala actually got info from Iran. It really depends on if she used it or if she even reported it.

CNN fights a MAGA boat man because he has money, why's he worried about inflation? MAGA boat man makes her look like typical modern woman.
The thing is, just because you own a boat do they think that means you're impervious to a depression?
Getting rich is one thing but staying rich is a big money management issue. Look at people who win the lottery and how fast money can disappear.

If food prices go up, if housing costs go up, if gas goes up, if businesses are struggling, if everyone is struggling. That makes it harder to keep money coming in and keeping your budget not only under control but trending up.

I've known a few wealthy people in my lifetime and they all cared about the economy a lot. Hell they cared about their electric and water bill and chided their kids for leaving lights on because of the waste of money.

Yes if you're filthy rich and have money coming in with no sign of stopping you might not think about it. But some guy who can afford a boat and jetskis is probably not in that position. Fucked up economy means not being able to maintain their way of living and having to make concessions where they didn't have to before.

Even if it's not not being able to afford food versus not money you worked to earn not going as far as it did is still irritating or worse if it gets bad enough.

Boat guy is right that the economy impacts everyone.

It's fascinating they're so unwilling to identify themselves or be recorded.

The recording part is baffling to me, especially since police departments and prosecutors fucking love body cameras and recording encounters because 99 times out of 100 it helps save their asses from bogus accusations and makes cases easier to prosecute. There are countless videos online (usually of comically stupid people getting arrested) where people openly warn police officers that they're recording and the police simply respond "that's fine, you're welcome to do that, and we're recording too." Why would these feds be so reluctant to be recorded?
Yeah but you're talking about people getting arrested and saying a cop jacked them up during transport or some shit, or that he groped some crack head prostitute screaming in the middle of the street.
Cops don't GAF about THEIR recordings because Prosecutors and Judges don't TRY THEM for the crimes they commit, not because it shows they did nothing wrong.
That's why they hate auditors, and it's why they try any mental gymnastics to arrest people for recoding them.
Any footage they record gets to be held under grounds of an "ongoing investigation".
They're bitching in I think Ohio because some faggot with a badge did a running kick into some dudes head while he was cuffed on his knees with a gun in his face.
Two years later and a useless IA complaint that cleared the assault and they'd have seen the footage.
Don't talk to them and ALWAYS record them. It pisses then off, provokes them, and it'll help during the lawsuit.

Not to mention how cruel and selfish the reporter sounds, "why would you care about inflation and the economy if you have plenty of money?" God forbid you think about your neighbors or other citizens who have to live in this economy who might not be so well off. So fucking scummy, I can't fathom how there exists people who still believe that the Democrat party is the party of the people.

Woman moment

I'm an hour in and this is singularly the most terrifying thing I've ever listened to.
First hour is something else... the rest is fairly interesting.
I can't get over how Weinstein's view on the Republicans is "I agree with them, but they're mean!" while touting how disagreeable he is... Like he requires the right to be polite but he, and the left, are not required to do that.

Edit: and the fence is so far up his ass that he thinks Kamala is an absolute disaster for freedom, and that the uniparty needs to be broken, acknowledges earlier that Trump is an outsider, but still won't vote for Trump because he thinks he's slimy and made a line crossing joke to someone getting kicked out of a rally (which I'd never heard before... explicitly advocating violence against the guy, which I have to imagine didn't actually happen or it'd be all over the news and campaign ads.).
Everything I'm ascribing to him he openly said. It's literally the guys from my hometown who vote D because their parents did.

Edit: Edit: and this is after he points out Kamala and Trump public personas are all kayfabe.

Also he can afford a fishing boat and a JetSki, big whoop. Most people with half decent jobs could afford that in retirement age if they were conscientious spenders and didn’t door dash every night.

The original TP became the seed of MAGA: conservative boomers who had reliably voted Republican but weren't really that involved in politics, got involved, got trampled by the establishment
More specifically, they got taken for a ride by "political consultants" that frittered away all their fundraised money.
