Unless Aaron said something incredibly stupid when he talked to the cops (against Sean/Potentially Criminal's advice), thing I think the felony harassment was an over charge that the prosecutor's don't have a good chance of winning in a trial and is solely there to put a bit of fear into Aaron to accepting a worse plea deal than he would without it.

The parties to the case are The State of Minnesota v Aaron Imholte. Testimony can come from witnesses who have evidence related to proving or disputing the occurrence of the crime itself. If a conviction is made, victims are then also given the option to make statements about the impact of the crime, a "victim impact statement", which the court considers for sentencing.

As I said previously, they're probably dropping the felony charge in exchange for a misdemeanor guilty plea. I don't think that this is because there's no evidence to give them at least a respectable chance at conviction, but I do think that the felony charge was primarily only leveled to induce him to save them the time and expense of a trial and plea out to the misdemeanor. They have no personal vendetta to try to ensure that he gets nailed with every possible conviction; he's just another case to them - they're entirely happy to be satisfied with something that they can consider a win.

If I had to guess on sentencing I'd say he'll get slapped with a monetary fine, a suspended sentence of a few months, and he'll agree to not make public statements about KR (although this would be a part of the plea agreement, not part of the sentence per se).

I don’t think she told her anything new. Keanu had already heard about the DV stuff since it was leaked. I think Keanu was looking for an out to go after Aaron. That sudden flip made no sense.

I think April confirmed to her that the stuff in the LaRue documents was true. That, along with Aaron misrepresenting on his show some things said between him and Keanu on a private call, lead her to turn on him.

I was just wondering about something. Aaaron just shared one picture with one other person and gets slapped with a felony charge, because the Minnesota statute is very ... wishy washy and in favor of the victim, even greenlit by the MN Supreme Court.

Since the wording of the statue says that the person sharing the picture is guilty if they should have reasonably expected that sharing the picture was not ok.

Would that mean every website re-hosting "leaked" OF pictures is guilty of "Revenge Porn" under MN law?

There is more to it than just Rekieta.

1) Aaron was dick-riding Geno for a very long time because of Geno's position within the compound media sektor. When the rumors started spreading about Compound shutting down, Aaron's attitude toward Geno instantly changed. The consequence of compound shutting down is that Geno is a broke old man important to nobody. Aaron's response to that change was entirely predictable.

2) There was some kind of deal between Aaron/Geno/Keanu in the spring where they were appearing on his show to help him through losing April as co-host. Whatever the deal was, Geno/Keanu didn't think they got what they deserved out of it and that was a big part of them turning from pro-Aaron to Pro-Nick.

3) Keanu is way more motivated in the situation than Geno is. We don't really know why. But she is an amoral THOT and I would strongly suspect her motivations have nothing to do with moral considerations or emotion. The usual things that motivate people like them are either not getting paid what they think they were owed or they got a better offer for their services from someone other than Aaron.

4) Minus Compound Media support, Keanu and her fellow THOTs from Chrissie's barn are in real trouble. She could well be a-logging Aaron because that is the best content she can come up with in the circumstances.

The one thing I'm fairly sure of is that neither Keanu or Geno care at all about Nick, April or any of the legal issues around them. Geno is also not a guy who is going to have a problem with any form of "revenge porn".

None of the compound media people and none of their outer orbiters like Aaron are any good. They are all just sleazy boomers on the make for whatever scraps that can get.

Yes, this seems accurate. How I remember it is that he was a bit surprised and his initial instinct was to
1) assume his chat was fucking with him and making it up
2) figure that they were misunderstanding things and it wasn't as bad as they were making out
3) publicly avow to 'take the high-road'.
He's definitely made sniping, passive-aggressive comments toward Geno a little and Keanu somewhat more, but I don't think he dragged them very hard.

Nick claimed that the State has Aaron dead to rights EVEN IF neither Keanu nor Geno testify. Can their police interview or their comments on their streams be used if they refuse to testify? Is there some hearsay exception under those circumstances? Without their testimony, isn't there no real proof that the photo Aaron sent on stream was a nude? They mention the tattoo under her breast or whatever, but there are non-nudes of Qayla out there that show those tattoos.
